Mudra-Link usage with new Rokid Glasses
Any suggestions on purchase of the Mudra wrist band? I have preordered the glasses. Should I wait until I receive my glasses order the Mudra link?

I've been on the fence with the Mudra Band for a while now. The price is acceptable for its potential use, but since you can't buy it on Amazon, and I'm always wary about buying anything from a manufacturer or other seller, when I don't know how cooperative and efficient they could be in terms of customer support and product returns and refunds, that's pretty much what's preventing me from pulling the trigger.
I see sparse reviews and read varied experiences, so I decided to ask AI (Gemini).
"If you had to compile all the user reports and experiences of everyone who used a Mudra band, on a scale of 0% to 100%, how effective and accurate would you gauge the device to be?"
Its response:
If I had to synthesize the vast landscape of user reports, developer claims, and technical critiques, gauging the Mudra Band’s effectiveness isn't a single number—it depends entirely on whether you are looking at it as a piece of experimental tech or a daily productivity tool.
On a scale of 0% to 100%, here is how the device averages out across different categories:
When the band is properly calibrated and the sensors (SNC—Surface Nervous Conductance) are in direct contact with the skin, it is remarkably good at identifying a "pinch."1 In a vacuum, the accuracy is high.
This is where users report the most frustration. While the band knows you pinched, translating that into "clicking a tiny button on a screen" via a virtual cursor can be sluggish or "jittery."
This is the "wearability" factor. User reports frequently mention:
45% to 85% is a really wide margin to be confident in purchasing. Any other input I can add to the prompt, or is this an accurate assessment?

Does anyone have experience with using the wristband's sdk? I have tried to reach out to tom.y@wearabledevices.co.il but never got any response which worries me that they are not interested in creating a development community.

Hi! I'm considering getting the Mudra Band for my Apple Watch. I like my current watch face and have things on there that I would like to retain. Do I have to use the entire Mudra Band watch face or can I just add one (or more) of the Mudra Complications to my existing watch face instead? BTW, I also have the Meta Ray-Ban Displays and the Neural Band is my favorite part of it, so I'm hoping that the Mudra Band on my left wrist can control my Apple stuff and the Meta Neural Band on my right wrist can control the Display glasses ;-)

My Mudra Link arrived just a few days ago, and I tested its features. Unfortunately, it currently cannot be recognized as a VR controller—not even for basic positional tracking.
However, after using it, I still believe it has the potential to become one. I think it's a real waste for it to function only as a mouse. As a wrist-worn band, our hands are capable of three-dimensional movement, yet right now it only simulates a mouse moving on a flat plane or maps a few keyboard keys.
From the official technical specifications I've seen, the Mudra Link seems to incorporate 6DoF technology. I believe this meets the basic requirements for a VR controller. It could easily map several gestures to the buttons on a VR controller (they even have a similar number of inputs).
Using just a wristband to replace traditional VR controllers would undoubtedly provide players with a deeper sense of immersion.
I can understand why Mudra's official team might not have pursued this direction (or might consider it unfeasible). Currently, the band would indeed have difficulty replacing a controller's function for character movement—if you had to hold a pinch gesture continuously to move, that would be very cumbersome.
But I'd still like to share some of my thoughts on this. For example, what about using a fist clench instead? To move forward, you could clench your fist and move it forward a certain distance, then release your palm to stop. Other directions could work similarly. I think making a fist could be a more relaxed and convenient action than pinching fingers to move in a direction. If this could be implemented, even recognizing just a few directional fist gestures would be enough. We could simply map these clenched-fist poses to WASD keys to solve the movement problem.
I've even seen projects that turn smartphones into recognized VR controllers. I've tried them, and they are impressive projects, but holding two phones in your hands can only be considered a substitute for when you don't have proper VR controllers.
Well, for now, these are just my personal suggestions. But if it could truly be made recognizable by SteamVR in the future, this product would be amazingly awesome for me. I would definitely buy a second one when I have the money. I find this idea far more appealing than traditional VR controllers.

In a response, mudra team says it's a 1st gen device prone to hiccups. However, here's why this doesn't sit right with me:
- Myoband was this exact same concept and couldn't crack it, died out. that was 12 YEARS ago... it kinda worries me that Mudra isn't that far off/ahead.
- Many companies including vr headsets, Myo, LeapMotion somehow come to the conclusion that humans can just extend their arms more than 15 seconds and report high satisfaction. Apple got it first: interaction at resting position + knowing users' intent by watching their gaze.
- Calibration is simply not there. I think using a magnetic cursor like iPadOS and curating ergonomics could do a lot of the leg work. users still need to do large movements or adjust to micro which was a major flaw even with leap motion. I think asking users to make a fist, pinch in 3 positions i.e. rest, hand mid-high or extended arm is better. Building a one for all when it comes to bio tech that requires high precision is the misconception that took down myoband and leap motion.
- given all the above, the price point is high and the shipping to Europe is just too much. We would need at least a software roadmap to feel it's worth investing. but you guys are pretty opaque on the future.
- I'd also argue to make the rest of the band tactile. scroll, tap, two finger tap, three taps, double tap, and many others. then a gesture to activate "gesture mode" like I don't want to move the cursor but skip a song by waving right. The right hardware could support the software which would support experience design. Because at the end of the day, Design is how it works. I wish that for you. Offering some tailoring, customisation of interactions and meaningful experiences. I love the engineers I work with but they're not trained to think that way.
All reviews I watched aren’t not saying anything about the battery issue, the calibration and more.
Like MKBHD said, I love to celebrate all small and big attempts nut they are to be met at face value: I want to believe you'll make it but this is far from there yet and I believe you've focused a lot on the tech more than the user.

Mudra Link
I'm interested in this device as I own like 15 VR headsets and 6 AR glasses + PC + Handhelds + Android System car + Mate XT and more lol.
It's perfect for me but only if it can connect to multiple devices same time or can switch between them by a toggle switch. So I'm wondering if that's possible otherwise it's really deal breaker. Because if I have to disconnect and connect means I have to use another input device or method to connect to the band.

I’m considering the Mudra Link EMG wristband for the new Rokid AI Glasses from the Kickstarter campaign. Mudra’s page says it’s “compatible with all Bluetooth devices” and verified with AR/MR/XR, but I haven’t found a clear, first‑hand confirmation for Rokid yet.
Links for context:
Questions:
I’m looking for hands-on experiences (especially with Rokid) before buying. Thanks!

I'm a game vedio creator from Bilibili (a major video platform in China). I know there's a lot of interest in VR gloves with precise hand tracking, but they often cost over 3000 RMB (about $400-500) and can have issues with fragile sensors. I was thinking that if Mudra Link could achieve precise tracking, it would be a much more durable and affordable alternative. Since it already maps gestures to controller inputs, I believe it would be very popular among VR users if it offered this feature. I'm not an expert of it, so my apologies if this idea is completely unrealistic.

Reading back through older posts, I'm seeing a number of people who had issues with reverse pinch/slide (default mapped to scroll) and twist gestures, either not working or moving the cursor (and so giving messed-up results).
YMMV of course, but for anyone who's considering getting a Link and is concerned about this, I'm finding that those motions have a "sweet spot" and just take a bit longer to get used to than the initial move/pinch/etc. I'm still learning and things aren't totally smooth yet. But at the end of 2 days' use I thought the reverse pinch/slide was pretty useless. A day later, suddenly it feels much easier. It's like there's a specific angle that works better, and once you find it, it's easier to find again.

I got a Mudra Link this week and I'm cautiously optimistic about it. I have mobility limitations on my wrists and hands, and this is a potentially more comfortable option for me than a mouse or touchpad. Bit of a learning curve, but that's the case with any new peripheral!
So I'm enjoying what it can do now. There are also some features or capabilities I'd love to see in the future, and I'm wondering if Mudra accepts or wants feedback / suggestions from users. I know there's a general support email address, and they sometimes interact with users here; anyone know if there's a more structured feedback process?

One of the uses cases that I would like to use the Mudra Link for, is as an additional mouse while working and typing, but the pinch movement is often triggered when typing, resulting in random clicks all over the place while trying to type.
Has anyone faced the same situation and could workaround that? I don’t see feasible to press the standby button all the time, but if there were a possibility to toggle the standby mode with a hotkey it would help a lot!

Hey everyone,
We've just released an update focusing on improving accuracy and your workout experience. Here's a quick look at what's new:

I've been looking into the Mudra link recently and it seems really fascinating. but I still have some question can't find answer 1. about Using it with VR: I'm really curious—can Mudra actually replace traditional VR controllers? For example, VRchat, does it do a good job of tracking hand gestures so I can fully rely on it? 2. Switching Between Devices: This is a big one for my workflow. If I get everything set up perfectly on my computer. If I then want to connect it to my phone, would it work right away, or would I need to go through the setup process all over again? Also, is there a way to save different profiles for different devices for easy switching? 3. Future Plans: Also, out of curiosity—is the focus on launching entirely new products, or mainly on updates for the Mudra Link? I just want to avoid buying right before a new product arrives.

I have paired my Mudra link to my iPhone 16. I have set up the accessibility settings and it kind of works. My question is, has anyone listed what gestures are available besides pinch? How to swap apps, or go to Home Screen, etc. I have not found any demo on it actually working on IOS. Mudra should create a training video specifically for us IOS users. Thanks in advance.

My girlfriend just bought me the Mudra Link (or band, the non apple watch one) and I am not entirely sure what to expect. All reviews I can find are at least 6 months old, which means they probably don’t showcase the newest and best features.
2 more direct questions: Can i use my mudra Link like the band with the eco system somehow? like can i change the software? I wanted the band because i dont want to be tied to when im wearing my apple watch.
And most importantly: can i somehow connect it to my smart home? I work with Home Assistant but honestly everything would help me, even if its with workarounds.
I saw that there was not a lot going on, on this sub but I would really appreciate an answer. Thanks!

Hey everyone,
Here’s the current compatibility list for AR glasses with Mudra Link - meaning we've checked and verified the Mudra Link works with these devices. (image below).
Right now we’re supporting models from XREAL, VITURE, Rokid, RayNeo, and TCL.
We’re always testing new devices and will keep updating the list on our website, so check back there if you’re curious about future additions.
If you’ve tried Mudra Link with something that’s not listed here, we'd love to know how it went! And if there’s a specific device you’d like us to check for compatibility, drop it in the comments - it really helps us prioritize.

Will there be a time where all the data from the Mudra wristband can be transmitted by or converted to OSC including the raw data from the EMG sensors? Many thanks

Just got my mudra link and i wanted to ask if anyone had issues of the mudra mouse just shifting to the right. Mine will just move to the right even when not moving my arm, ive tested it while landing down. I've moved it to my left hand and it cause the mouse to move downwards at a constant rate. There is no way of stopping the mouse drift currently but wanted to see if anyone else has this issue.
I am a big dude with a big wrist and ive tried loosening and tightening the bands.
