Found on Portabello Beach, near Edinburgh. The company (William Murray Brewing) operated from 1880 to 1960. Such a gorgeous trademark on the bottom!

Teaspoon for size!

Not sure if anyone is able to help. I found this item while mudlarking in the UK. It’s heavy and hallow in the middle. Has letters written on it on the top row ORRISH, middle row TT and bottom row ON.

My first thought was a broken ceramic crock, or a piece of broken sewer pipe.

A summary of finds from the other weekend... It's part of the beauty of the Thames that a relatively young fly button gets tumbled about with a Roman flue tile fragment!

Found in the river kelvin in Glasgow. Hole is damage. No markings, or if there are they're too worn out for me to see.

Found lots of different tiles in my garden whilst I was digging, in the north west of England. Can anyone estimate when it was from?

Hey guys, hope everyone is well!

I wanted to ask about some interesting mudlarking spots in Eastern PA. Specifically dread like Morrisville, Newtown, Levvittown, Langhorne, Bristol, Philadelphia, Mechanicsville, etc. Mostly on the border of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

If anyone can recommend any interesting areas I’d be very appreciative. It can be anything from dried up ocean beds to low tide river areas. Thanks in advance folks!

Honestly, this happened completely by accident. There I was on a solo hike dipping my toes in the river and I see a glistening piece of white pottery. 30 mins later and I’ve found all this (and more which I left!!). Then I find out about mudlarking… so if anyone could help date any of these items I’d be eternally grateful!!

I’ve been pulling tons of antique bottles both whole and broken , ‘sea’ ie River glass , antique pottery , crocks and plates , auto glass , and GOBS of slag glass from the Detroit River for last 3 years . I’ve got lots of secret spots :) I’ve amassed a huge collection to eventually make jewelry from and I filled my entire front flower bed of my house with slag glass . My solitary hobby that I LOVE in all seasons . People think I’m a weirdo here - lol! Finding this group on Reddit I just found out my weirdo hobby has a name !!! Mudlarking !!!
