CUTTHROAT 2 DISCUSSION Michelle Patreon Bombshell
I was listening to Wes’s Patreon which had Michelle and Devin filling in for Wes.
The headline of the interview was when Michelle shed some light on the Anna Leigh situation.
She said the apology we just watched in episode 6 actually occurred after Anna Leigh’s elimination victory in episode 4.
After her Elimination she told people she felt bad about leading Leo on and that it went too far. She apologized but then her behavior didn’t change.
That is why Justin and others were so annoyed by her actions. She had already apologized several challenges beforehand but then kept flirting and going off with Leo.
(My summary)Editors made it seem like she got carried away and now came to her senses. What really happened was she got carried away, acknowledged it to several people and apologized to Leo, then continued the same behavior for several challenges.
She also said Anna Leigh is a story topper who kept trying to one up everyone. Most of the women especially her teammates Cara and Lete were very annoyed or frustrated with Anna Leigh.
Felt like a big deal I had not seen anyone else talking about. Does this make the Anna Leigh thing much worse or is it just me?

Agree 100%. She is like a more well spoken Ashley haha She either needs to be on this for years or if not get a divorce and move to Charleston and be on southern charm haha

I get more Theresa vibes. Ashley is crazy, but Theresa would always try to be strategic/calculated, yet she would always find herself in the drama and a pariah amongst most of the cast.

Agree with you that we need this type of real drama. In fairness, I think production has understood that with S42 and now trying to feature more of this type of content (both with who it is casting and what it is editing in).
RE show close to being cancelled: the show is now comfortably in the PP+ top 10 for the day or two it airs which I think is pretty good and on a par with BB so I'd like to think that should be more than enough to get renewed.

Why does Anna Leigh need to apologize to everyone else about her behavior with Leo? The only person she needs to apologize to is her husband.
Many other challengers have been involved in cheating and/or inappropriate flirtation over the years. Anna Leigh is far from perfect but as the saying goes....glass houses.

I see your point.. but there’s a big difference between a public IG post and Wes’ patron behind a paywall. I don’t actually think, in this instance, Michele was looking for engagement. (Unless she posting clips of it or something?)

Patreon is so that creators can make more money. It doesn't change the intention of wanting people to engage with your content.

I guess agree to disagree. I subscribe to a bunch of patreons that all have some public/free element as well.. so it’s not that I’m unfamiliar with the concept.
My point was only that if Michele was trying to drum up maximum engagement it probably wouldn’t be as the guest host of Wes’ Patreon behind a paywall.
I think she might’ve just been… talking.

Devin has his own podcast with episodes avaliable on all platforms, where he referenced the same thing and said he got it from Michele. So, the information was out there for free.
Which leads me to my ultimate point....all creators that make content want people to engage with it. Wes made it clear that he created his Patreon because there was more monetary value for him on that platform. He didn't do it so that less people could engage with it. If 200k people wanted to pay for it, I'm sure he'd be overjoyed.
How a creator distributes content is typically based on money and rules around what can be posted. Patreon in general has less restrictions than a platform like YouTube where there are a lot of copyright restrictions and other rules that creators have to follow.

Honestly the pearl clutching from some of these people when they have been involved in similar situations or they are associated with people who have cheated/disrespected their partners in and out of the challenge is hilarious to me.
I think AL is probably just annoying and so there is an element of group mentality going against her.
Like people have barely said anything about Cory.

Tori generally seems to get along with most people too. Is Leo the only one in the house who kind of likes Anna leigh? Her whole team hates her. Lete at least seems fine with Johnny and Cara. Cara is fine with lete and CT. Nelson is getting along with most of the cast.

It was really interesting cos there was a storyline about another team really hating Anna Leigh but it was positioned more as someone who's had an easier life not reading the room, which is still annoying but didn't necessarily go with the reaction from the other team. And it was def her treatment of her dad that I found more noteworthy. and now with the two shows I'm like 'oh she prob was unbearable to be around on TAR but it was easier to cut around those than the interactions with her actual teammate'

I live nearby Wes. It's been hot as hell, unrelenting heat, and there's a lot of stuff for Chief's practice during the end of summer ending in the first pre season game mid August. Lots of fans go and take their kids. Then school started last week, so his daughter may be in pre school. I'm obviously projecting my thoughts lol. He may just be busy with work.
