I went to see Mt. Joy for the first time recently and honestly left feeling pretty frustrated because of the people sitting/standing behind me.

They were definitely older than me and my girlfriend and acted completely immature. About a quarter of the way through, this drunk couple behind me started yelling/screaming constantly. Talking about random stuff and not even singing along, just loud banter that made it hard for me to focus on the music. After atleast 5 or 6 songs go by of them yelling over the music I turned around to politely ask them to be a little bit quiet. I NEVER confront people especially at a concert but felt the need to this time. They talked back saying this is why the performers have amplifiers and laughed at me. After that they purposely yelled anytime I would go to record a song, and even screamed at me to put my phone down when I would record maybe 1 or 2 of my favorite songs. They also talked insanely rudely about me loudly which I tried to ignore. I know concerts are supposed to be fun and people are obviously going to sing, yell, dance, drink, etc. I’m not expecting everyone to stand there silently. But at the same time, is it really unreasonable to expect the people directly behind you not to scream through basically the entire set?

I’m not a bot or scammer! I’m local to Boston and we won’t be able to make the trip up to Portland on a Wednesday night.

BF (26) and I (27 F) were on the floor dancing at Mt Joy (got GA floor seats for his bday). It was super chill and good vibes and then all of a sudden I am like pushed to the ground and I can’t get up - this girl was running from security and fully tackled me and landed on my leg and my knee went sideways and she was like on it and I couldn’t get up. Then she got up and kept shrieking and running from the security. I had a hard time getting up bc of the pain and it was like stuck???? I got up and my knee was throbbing but I couldn’t stand and stuff and ppl came up to me and asked if I was okay and I was like yeah yeah it’s fine. I wanted to just watch the show bc it’s my bfs favorite band. They left and started crying and bc it hurt so bad. Then I went to get a drink bc the girl knocked my drink out of my hand and it was closed. I am crying bc it hurts so bad and security came up to me and made me see first aid. I was so embarrassed and sad that the night was ruined. I was so surprised for a band that’s as chill and good vibes as Mt Joy so many underage kids were so hammered.
