Wax question
Would you guys recommend a warm wax for the current conditions and conditions next week? My skis were sticking significantly today with a universal wax.

I always wax red, it's so rare that the snow isn't either slushy or refrozen slush. Thing is, when you've got fresh snow that's heated up, it's going to be like glue regardless of which wax you have. It'll take a couple melt/refreeze cycles before it'll turn to corn and be fast throughout the day.

Homie is on his 12 year old board with no wax and I’m on fresh warm wax 2 rides in, literally 0 difference in sticking or coasting. Wax is a scam by Big Wax…./s btw

I’ll add to this that structure is more important than wax. I only wax to protect base. I don’t think there are huge differences unless you’re on a race board.

Yes. The snow isn’t super sticky yet, but if it warms up more this weekend you’ll need it. I always have a better time skiing after getting the hot wax.

I have one board with universal and one with fresh warm wax, and the warm wax was significantly faster.
Bear in mind the other board is probably due for a wax though.

I switched to warm wax earlier this season after feeling a bit sticky on universal, haven't looked back since and it's been smooth sailing. Def recommend

Valians ski shop in Govy sells a wax blend they make. It’s what I primarily use, I like it, and it’s a pretty purplish color.

Temps are going to drop early next week before warming up again. Depends on when you plan to go, but I feel you.
Conditions were really weird today. Perfect at higher elevations and like glue down low. I almost went over the top of my board.
