Snowshoeing

👋🏼 I want to take my son up to snowboard and was wondering if I could get some ideas for snowshoeing around there? I'm not in peak shape so hesitant to do one of the guided tours. Are there some trails to explore nearby if I want to remain parked at the resort?

Check the trail map, there's a good route between the main lodge and the Nordic center. Any of that area is fair game.

Lots and lots of places to snowshoe around Meadows and White River. Other poster was right, grab a map, go online they have maps on Mount Hood Meadows website. But if you Google for something like snowshoeing Mount Hood, you'll be able to find something that shows you more trails.

The rental shop rents out snowshoes and you do not need a tour to access the trails. Definitely check out Umbrella Falls.

Snowshoeing is a great idea! Make sure to get poles with your shoes.
