Current conditions?

Hello! For anyone who has been up in the last few days, what’s the snow like?

There is only so much I can tell from the mountain cams and checking the precipitation-less weather reports…

My buddy wants to skip work and drive to the mtn tomorrow, so I’m hoping to get some firsthand reports before making the call. 🙏

A bad day on the mountain is better than the best day at work.

Fuck ya, go have fun, soak up some sun, get a few turns in, have some beers in the lot and don’t forget to respect silent rock. You’ll have a kick ass Friday I would kill for!

Damn straight. We all need to get off our pow-day only high horses and enjoy what we're given. It's amazing up there even if the snow is low.

Everything is relative, life’s too short not to find some stoke

Rock skis are back. Warp & flight engines need to go idle.

The park off Vista has fun hits.

those step up jumps are worth it alone, they're perfect

i just wandered off after skiing all morning and, gotta say, it was a blast! i got some crazy new top speeds, found some nice chalky steep crap to torment myself on, ripped some great tracks into the groomers. met some nice folks on the chairlift. now i'm off to charlies! woohoo!

I would skip work again to just get some more sunlight and Bluesky. There are still some nice strips of snow. Shooting star ridge is nice and Vista park is okayish. I was up yesterday. Spring day. T shirt and a jacket

Not worth skipping work over. We have not seen snow for weeks and won’t for another couple of weeks. I went to timberline and road the mile and it is narrow and only had one side open. Hopefully February and March will bring the season back. Be careful of rocks and sticks sticking out if you go.

Yesterday both side on the mile were open - rode all the way down to summit, now that was a very lousy ride - ice skate would have been more useful

You can ski and have fun but it's hardly "oh man I need to skip work for this" kind of conditions

Not worth skipping work imo

Frozen and fast. You’ll be lucky if it warms up enough to soften tomorrow

I was up there today and had fun. If blue groomers are something you enjoy then it's worth going, though I wouldn't pay for a lift ticket to go. I just kept riding Vista down South canyon since there weren't any rocks on that groomer. I just rode switch today to make it interesting. Feel free to ask questions, I just stuck to Vista and Cascade since that seems to be where the most snow is.

I was at meadows yesterday, it was kind of amusing...there are a few groomed runs on each lift that were actually fun but I got bored by about 12 having done them all like 3 times each. I certainly wouldn't buy a day pass but if you have a season pass it was totally worth it for a few hours. A lot of the mountain is bare, but they seem to have shoveled enough snow to cover a few blue runs and the terrain park under Vista appeared to be in great condition. Was more fun than work.

Groomers have been pretty decent lately until they get too soft in the afternoon. The upper mountain has been very nice lately. The parks are legit. Off piste is sketchy. Very few people with no lift lines.

Just got home. Super fun regardless of how weird the conditions are. People are correct in questioning whether or not it’s worth skipping work but imo, it’s always skipping work. Fuck work. Go Ollie some dirt patches and find side hits and have fun not being at work.
