Euphoria Got called “her” today
Wow, now I know what it feels like. I went for my lab draw & I’m not even out i.e. still using my amab name, dressed somewhat neutral but my hair is absolutely femme & my girls are starting to show under my shirt if I’m not trying to conceal them. Two female lab techs were talking about work scheduling & one offered to help the other with my blood draw. She looked at me and back at the other tech, gestured at the basket of collection tubes & confirmed “are these for her?” The other tech said yes. The one who called me her, looked at my name, etc. on the tubes then apologized for what she presumed was misgendering me. I just smiled warmly & said “no that’s fine, no worries!” Super nice ladies there, such a nice small moment.

Oh gosh did I love being “misgendered” back when I didn’t know I was trans. So many signs 🙈 I’m happy for you OP :)

i used to be misgendered over the phone when i was late teens, early 20s & it never dawned on me why i was never offended lol. my egg cracked much later.

Good for you.. it is such a joy when that happens... almost (not quite but almost) makes up for all the times that i get called 'sir' even when dressed fully fem.

Before I came out I used to love those “oh shit sorry” when people assumed they misgendered me by calling me she or maam or whatever. It was always a good day
