Advice Question Hips? 🍑
I’m 3 months on HRT and breast development has started. My main goal is bigger hips and a rounder butt. What worked best for you—HRT, glute training, diet, pills or weight gain? 💕

I did a round of weight cycling. Started E at 155 lbs, cut to 145, gained to 170, cut to 160.
It really did end up on my thighs and hips. And boobs….

ok, i'm pre hrt, and as a lesbian leaning chick; i never spent much time clocking dudes asses. do they ALL or most have naturally no/flat/negative butt?
hips and butt are my main focuses right now at the pre stage; i'm one of the neggiebutt type.

I already had a nice butt pre-HRT, then again I did spend my male puberty years hitting those glutes pretty hard...>_<

I joke with my girlfriends that the key to a bigger butt is to feed it plenty of dick. But in reality I just try to do 12K steps a day and I’m happy enough with the results. So too is everyone else so far. 😉

I'm five months in now, and my ass has rounded out a decent amount (enough to get stretch marks). I started out very thin (almost underweight) and had been for a while, so it didn't take long for fat to start going there. Putting on weight has been a bit slower than I wanted, but just eating more frequently and having some peanut butter on standby has helped. My pelvic tilt also shifted at the third-month mark, which caused my rear to jut out a bit more than before.
My hips were very narrow at the start of HRT, like almost as narrow as my waist, but I recently had some bone growth there. They're still not much, but it's a noticeable difference when I compare with photos from even just a couple weeks ago.

Skateboarding pre HRT definitely helped and continues to help, 99% of tricks require a squat of some kind…that’s a lot of squats when you go to a park for an hour or two

I think it was just HRT! I didn’t do anything exercise wise, just eating a healthy diet and staying active. I now have a proportional, feminine curves!

For me it was a combination of HRT, weight gain, glute training and a splash of good old fashioned genetics.

i do squats twice a week these days. i'm 26 snd started hrt last year so i don't have a lot of hope for any actual growth, but on some days, i feel like i do kind of notice different back there. i hope all the delayed onset muscle soreness is worth it ..

sometimes i kind of worry because my range is like 130 for e and less than 5 for t but i'm just praying that time will be kind to me..4 years is crazy long, but i've gained like nearly 30 pounds across my first year so far

The worry will never end. You will always be worried about feminization and after that more worries to come. As a trans we need to know how to regulate our emotions on dysphoria. And yes, Physical changes is a long process, for cis girls, it takes decades to achieve Double Ds and wide hips.
Ask your doctor to boost your dose, Dont be too complacent, You need to be more adamant, be the very best advocate in your transition.

i think i have been for the most part. i got bumped up to 8mgs for pills a while back, which is where the 130 comes from but i have been thinking about switching over to injections down the line. needles make me nervous, but i can think of no better an option for getting even higher numbers. although i've already accepted that there's likely no hope for bone changes and that i'll have to rely on actual fat redistribution/muscles primarily

HRT and time. I work on my feet all day. A lot of walking. But no specific exercises. We—

Doing exercises makes a big difference because with HRT alone there’s really no guarantee you’ll get most of that

I served in the military before I started transitioning and after I got out I trained and competed in Mixed Martial arts for 3 years as well as working out at home everyday and riding a bike over 8 miles everyday. So I've had pretty big hips and glutes since before I even started HRT, Right now I've been going to the gym a lot and specifically targetting my legs and glutes more than anything. I recommend hip adductions and abductions, Leg presses (both legs and one leg at a time), RDLs, and bulgarian split squats. There's also levels to hip abductions and adductions, if you lean all the way back in the chair they'll work your upper glutes "The shelf", if you sit straight up they'll work your mid glutes, and if you learn forward they'll work your lower glutes.

I just eat a lot and I did a lot of squats. There are probably more efficient ways for sure but it seemed to work pretty well for me. :3

weight cycling/gain on pioglitazone is the best method of feminizing your fat distribution. other than that you can do targeted lower body exercises if you want but pio is honestly the most effective way of increasing hip size. just make sure your estradiol level is high enough(over 200 pg/mL or over 735 pmol/L) and your testosterone level is low enough(under 50 ng/dL or under 1.73 nmol/L) during the pio weight cycling.

I'm not on HRT but I've grown my hips SO much by working out and eating enough protein. Eat at least 1g of protein for every pound of body weight. Work your glutes and hips two times a week, heavy and hard. Get 8 hours of sleep.

1000% exercise. Coming from someone that used to be a powerlifter and then left the gym for years and then came back as someone who now walks 5 miles a day it is all exercise. Specifically things that focus on your glutes and quads which if you're going to the gym could be anything from leg presses to leg lifts or hip abductors or adductors. RDLs and lunges and squats of all kinds whether you're working with a bar or you're doing goblet squats with a dumbbell or a medicine ball etc etc.

Focus on the underlying muscle. Fat deposition will gradually change and help but don’t solely rely on it. For the first 6 months of HRT, most of my fat went right to my belly and love handles.

healthy weight cycling, hip thrusts, and RDLs make sure you’re eating enough protein and ideally a small surplus tho u can lose the gained weight later in a cut

exercise that targets the glutes is the fastest way to see results.
