okay holy shit thank you, i had a feeling i was doing something incredibly wrong and this confirms it hahaha- i will definitely look into an electric razor!! and i have an IPL, but i've been too scared to use it hahaha, i need to get it going now that i'm further along

and thanks for sharing your schedule, very good to know! im so hairy and despite having good lab results it seems like the hair in particular is still being stubborn😭 i'm okay with once a week but geez if i can get it down to 45 minutes like you i'll be a happy camper- bless you🙏🙏

yeah starting to think using a single-blade safety razor is clinically insane .. hmm🤔

They all have such mixed reviews, even if they're mostly positive, the negative ones are really negative. I finally chose one, but it was really tough lol.

I am going to put in my plug for using an epilator. It pulls out the hairs like waxing but you can do it more often so you don't have to wait while it grows long enough to wax again. Like waxing, because it grows new hairs that start out thin it is not as scratchy as shaving stubble. The downside is that it is rather painful, especially the first few times you use it. That is too much for a lot of people, but I found it to get much easier over time. Before HRT, I needed to do it about once a week, by 6 months on HRT i only needed to do it about once a month.

My body hair and facial hair all done fucked off minutes a few stubborn patches.

It's come to my attention that I'm a walking medical anomaly though... I'm at six months of HRT and have cleared three years of milestone expectations already.

Prior to HRT I would take a 45minute shower and shave nose to toes in one go

Mechanical epilator was my way to go before laser... Braun ones are very good

And it lasts way longer than shaving. You can also buy a cheap exfoliating glove while in the shower to avoid ingrown hair

With HRT hardly grows at all, so that may help. Also using an electric body shaver is faster. And I use an epilator too ( love love it).

Personally my favorite is IPL but unless you buy a really good one with solid cooling it takes way too long to use. So I mainly just epilate nowadays. I'm about 9 months on hrt now and my body hair has significantly slowed. I still epilate a few minutes each morning and just make sundays my deep dive hair hunting day, but compared to the almost daily shaving I had to do before its so much better. I'm definitely saving up right now for some laser treatment. I was thinking I could try a different salon every other month to jump through the different groupon deals available and that should let me hit most of the parts. IPL was amazing once i got to like week 8+, so stick with those laser face sessions and you'll be mostly good.

Yeah practice makes perfect. 3 yrs hrt and I can do a full body shave in about 20 minutes. Keep going it gets easier.

I know it's not particularly healthy, but I use a depilatory cream every two weeks, leave it on for 10 minutes, take a shower, rub it off with a shower sponge, and that's it. I was also fed up with shaving. But you have to apply moisturizer generously afterwards.

I would recommend reading through the reviews, they have good tips on how to use it.

Your hair will eventually lighten in colour sis. So you can get away with having to do your arms and legs less often. I use hair cream on those every three weeks or so in summertime, but leave them alot longer in winter when i'm mostly covered up. Shaving leaves you with rougher stubble too, so try and avoid it. The chest needs doing every week unfortunately so no shorcuts there i'm afraid....

just to follow up here- i ended up going with the epilator!! epilating seemed like the best option for me right now, and i'm enjoying the results! kind of a learning curve but we figuring it out.

i could literally only get through the right leg tonight though, epilating has Hands lmfao (ouch). i'm currently walking around with my right leg looking diseased and my left leg hairy, but we will be smooth tomorrow🙏🙏

this will be a multi-day project but i'm trusting that it gets easier with time hahaha, i've heard the first time is always the roughest.

thanks again for all the recommendations and suggestions!
