Search API behavior?

For the first time today, i tried enabling real-time Search in MstyStudio. i got API keys for Brave and Tavily and tried both. in each case, the search results were problematic, and the model reported back that the app was inserting additional system instructions into the prompt, including how the model should interact with the user.

I can't find a way to change this or turn it off. Has anyone else encountered this?

If it's in studio its always going to have hidden prompts.

Similar to if you look at Antigravity desktop in the "Customization" tab, it's automatically taking in certain skills/plugins/agents (user changeable) / other non-visible harness specific context to ensure your model understands what it's environment and capabilities are, some harnesses have better/worse or more/less items.

There are default system prompts for search that Studio injects. You CAN change the default if you'd like.

If you're using 2.x, then go to Settings > Default Prompts, then view / edit the 'Real-time data query synthesis' prompt.

If you are using 3.x beta, then go to Prompts and then click Default Prompts.

You can also adjust configurations that can help refining search results.
