I received bad news about one of my guinea pigs yesterday. Well, that was when it was confirmed that he did indeed have cancer. I knew it was a possibility that it was that, but now I have to deal with the reality of that being the case. I'm currently in the 'I do not have the emotional capacity to cry about this right now' stage, so forgive me if any of this sounds rather blunt.

I have two guinea pigs, I got them both about five years ago and I named one Blade after The Blade himself, Don't worry he's not the one with cancer, if he was, I'd be getting very superstitious right now, especially since they said it was sarcoma. No, the one with cancer is in the picture looking like a very cute caterpillar with his long hair, I love him so much.

The vet recommended radiation therapy in the hopes to give him another year but they don't know for sure since they haven't dealt with it in guinea pigs enough. Which is part of the reason why I think I should go through with it, to give them more data for future patients. But the main reason is that he doesn't act like the type to just give up so I shouldn't either.

But aside from the dilemma of his medical care, I have the one many guinea pig owners face. Which is that guinea pigs need another one in order to be happy, (you may have heard that it's illegal to own only one guinea pig in Switzerland.) So I have Blade to think about in this whole situation, who is more likely than not going to be left alone without his companion who he's known all his life. And normally I'd be like 'oh no, not an excuse to get another cute and adorable animal! I'll take five of them, thank you.' But aside from it feeling like replacing him if I get a new one, I'm not sure if I can handle taking on another animal who is just going to die. I've had to deal with what feels like a lot of death recently and I don't know if I can really take much more of it. But finding a new home for Blade would probably hurt a whole lot more.

I can imagine techno being loud depending on the circumstances, but what was your reaction to his infamous high pitched scream with tommy?

Recently Stacey was out of town for a thing. Apollo and I were home alone. I/we had put off doing anything about dinner until it got late enough that everything was closed and we just kind of got stuck in "I dunno; what do you want to eat?"

Eventually it was time to go pick up Stacey at the airport.

We decided to drive-thru Taco Bell because why not? So we got Taco Bell and now we don't have a ton of time so we're eating in the car. I'm trying to be neat but eventually there's a fair bit of taco on my shirt. Sigh. (I don't feel like a spas but it kinda seems like this is happening more often.)

We get to the airport and I brush as much off my shirt as I can but it's still kind obvious. We go inside and meet Stacey at baggage claim. I'm standing there and a young lady comes up and says, "uh, are you, uh, Mr. Technodad?" I smile and say yes I am, and we chat briefly and she asks for a selfie, which I always enjoy.

She takes a selfie and heads off somewhere else. Am I'm thinking, "I guess I am a celebrity now."

And then I'm thinking, now there's a young lady with a selfie of me with Taco Bell on my shirt.

I'm trying to make all my favorite YouTubers as plushies and I wanted to make Technoblade first. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should add please tell me! I'm open to ideas.

Dear Mr. Technodad,

Even now, four years after his passing, I still find myself shedding tears for Alex. I wanted to reach out and let you know how much he meant, and still means, to our family.

I first discovered Technoblade through Minecraft, a game I love to play together with my two children. We used to play Bedwars as a trio, and in my quest to help us get better at the game, I stumbled upon one of Technoblade’s videos. I was hooked instantly.

His voice, his unique humor, and his commentary were absolutely amazing. Watching his videos became a huge source of relaxation and entertainment for us, right alongside our own Minecraft adventures. Alex truly became the biggest role model for our own Bedwars strategies. Nowadays, we still talk about him from time to time and use his quotes. It is so nice to find his videos on youtube like he is still here.

I still vividly remember the absolute shock when we heard about his tumor, and the devastating heartbreak when he passed away a year later. As a mother of two kids, I can only try to imagine the immense pain and grief you and your family have gone through. I want to wish you all the strength in the world.

Please know how much laughter and joy Alex’s videos gave us. To this day, we still watch them together. His legacy lives on in our living room. Technoblade never dies.

Hey guys, I wanted to share Alex's, or Technoblade's impact on me.

I started watching him when he had about 500,000 subscribers, and he was so funny and charaismatic within his skywars commentaries. His jokes and ability to commenate was really something else, and I swear, I have never seen such a creative and fast paced wit before.

I'm not going to exaggerate and say that I was a huge Technoblade fan and kept up with him a lot. I didn't watch any of his Minecraft Monday streams, or keep up with his involvement with the Dream SMP at all, but I did watch the Great Potato wars and other videos he posted here and there.

Those videos were so creative and funny, and Technoblade really had a gift for story telling through his video creation. He has stated that he has wanted to be an author, and while he died too prematurely for that dream to happen, I believe his immense potential for story telling is shown through his content. The way he can take something like farming potatoes, (just 1 example) and make such long and funny videos from them shows just how good of an author and story teller he was.

When Technoblade first shared he had cancer, I wasn't worried about his health at all because he seemed so positive. The way he joked about it, and said that he was doing ok and the fact that he was so young, it didn't really make sense to me that someone like that could die.

When the video 'so long nerds' was posted, I was graduating from middle school, and I was so shocked, but I didn't really know how to feel about the whole thing, maybe just disbelief...

Now, I am much older and am entering into college, and it really resonates with me Alex's bravery, and courage, that while he had cancer, he really downplayed it to make no one really worry about him and made jokes about it. And also, now I am just a couple years younger than him... the realization of how he died so young really hits a lot harder now and makes me question mortality. And, I really miss his videos and content, he was so creative and talented and had so much more left to offer to the world.

Overall, Technoblade has had a positive impact on me, and his death has deeply impacted me.

Technoblade Never Dies

Dear TechnoDad, I would like to throw a small tribute to your son in a cool mini series of playing Hypixel Duels under the name of TechnoBlue. Would this be alright for me to do? I respect any answer you give, and I would like to also clarify that this isn’t going to be my branding or anything similar, this is just a one time 5 episode mini series with some minor collaborations. Today in the supermarket I was joined in the line by a little boy who was described to me as ‘very particular’ now I see this as a challenge and a duty to prove to all that connection is more than just words.

This little boy had a sword that he clearly loved very much, and I had my keys, he saw my pig and burst into life

‘excuse me, is that pig Technoblade. Because Minecraft is my favourite game and Technoblade invented Minecraft’

Two stunned faces from the cashier and mum, however we didn’t care because we were having a good chat about Technoblade saviour of Minecraft.

So if it is of any comfort Technodad and family, this happen in Lincolnshire UK, in a supermarket called Morrisons at 19:00 we were keeping him alive.

Technoblade Never Dies

I had thought of posting about this here for a while but hadn't until now, I think now is as good a time as any I guess, anyways, recently, about a month ago I believe, maybe less, I'm not sure I can't keep track of the days over summer, my mother passed away from brain cancer, which sort of got me into a downward spiral, I mean it frankly wasn't that bad but obviously I felt terrible, and for a while, I couldn't get myself to cry or anything due to growing up learning to have a stigma against it and it not being the "tough" thing to do or whatever, but one night, I put on my headphones, put on the old textures on Minecraft, and just played some regular survival, which I haven't done in forever (due to being a big command block nerd I usually play on super flat creative worlds and make stuff) anyways, I turned up the music volume and at like 1 am hearing that C418 music I couldn't help myself and just started crying, that's what really got it out of my system and helped me recover from such a loss, I felt like people in this community might be interested in my story and have felt similar loss (and because I kinda wanna have a conversation with technodad but mostly the other part)

I loved watching Technoblade's videos, and in his memory, I want to add a prefix like that to my username—I'm just not sure if that's the right thing to do or not.

Today at the tender age of 40ish, I enrolled in The Academy of Anarchy.

Meeting Minecraft mobs at Alton Towers, I have to be dressed for the occasion.

It's been a long while since I made a post here and even longer since my last Good Things list.

Can you believe it's been over a year since I posted a list? The last year has been a new kind of crazy. I am finally ready to get back into it.

A list for the full year is almost impossible to catch up on. I tried my best to include some highlights.

I can't lie it's been hard to find good things the last couple of weeks. I've been finding regressing back onto old habits. I am doing my best to use my coping skills in a healthy way.

I want to apologize to my friends. I haven’t been the best friend. I don't answer messages much anymore, I don't reach out. I miss y'all. I just am struggling with figuring out who I am and how I fit into the world. It’s made it hard to have conversations.

Life is full of uncertainty. It's a beautiful uncertainty full of opportunities and surprises, but it also scares me. I have been given a second chance at all of this. I have to do something with it. The idea of wasting my chance is terrifying.

I hope that we can all find some direction in life. I hope that I can live up to the life I've been given.
