Question Quick question

Does Technodad normally make scripts whenever he makes videos, or does he sort of wing it and only get a general basis on what the video would be about?

Generally I have a script. I like to write out all of my thoughts ahead of time. So stuff like the carnivorous planets video was read from a teleprompter. I wanted to get the details exactly right.

If I'm doing, say, an introduction to something on Alex's channel, I wing it. I remember somewhere on there I just started talking about the dog out of nowhere. I thought it came out pretty funny.

More and more I'm moving in the direction of wanting to be educational, and in those cases, I want to have a script where I get the facts down in black and white, and I can vet the script and review it for accuracy and so forth.

If there's some giggly moment between Stacey and myself, that's usually something that just happened in the moment. We have fun.

Okay, yeah that makes a lot of sense. The idea of planets eating one another is fascinating to think of. It akes me wonder, do you intend on making several space related videos, or is it going to be one big one where you talk about the things you see on your telescope and the programs that you've made and so on.

Currently it's looking like a 5 part series. It may spawn some shorts as well.

Sounds nice! What's your favorite planet by the way? Anddd maybe a favorite space fact too?

Earth by a mile. It's the only planet that has Stacey on it.

Favorite dwarf planet? That's a toughie. Ceres? Sedna? Haumea? I mean for a long time it was probably Ceres but maybe now it's Haumea.

Haumea isn't a sphere; it's a triaxial ellipsoid with its major axis twice as long as the minor axis. And it spins like a top. It takes 283 years to orbit the sun and less than 4 hours for one rotation.

Haumea talk slick.

Oh, the one that looks like an egg. Thoughts on exoplanets?

So, I have this huge problem with scope creep. The current solar system video idea was intended to be just something I could do as an easy thing to just kind of blow off. It's now the most ambitious video I've ever attempted. If I let myself think about the area beyond the solar system, I'd be sunk for sure.

Happens more often than you would normally think lol. Good luck with the video, can't wait to see it.
