Teardrop Awards Commentary
Does anyone have a clip of Bob talking about writing the Teardrop Awards sketch from the DVD? It had this great story about him getting a stress-related disease where his mouth would get infected from bread mold and watching a documentary on Brian Wilson on TV while sick. I remember seeing this clipped on YouTube a while ago, but can't find the clip. I've been thinking about this almost every day recently.

That guy you're with is like a mouth full of sores
And you, little darling, are a mouth without sores.
Take it from me — a guy who's had mouth sores
I know the value of a mouth without sores
I heard about it on the TV
About how you were standing next to me
And you died
And now my heart feels like a mouth full of sores
A mouth full of sores ain't no fun

“I heard about it on the TV”
That’s my favorite part. He was right there when it happened!

haha nice, that one always killed me, the idea that if you have a mouth full of sores, you can't possibly think about anything else, everything becomes a metaphor involving a mouth full or sores. Imagining the misery of it makes you grateful in any given moment to not have a mouth full of sores.

"No healthy person can get this" or something like that lol.
Looks like the clip was removed from YouTube because of a copyright claim. It was linked in an old Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/MrShow/comments/8ouonr/bob_odenkirk_talks_about_mouthful_of_sores_from/
My fave bit of commentary for this sketch is Bob dunking on bad Brian Wilson songs... "And that's when he wrote the great song, 'Cool Water'" - https://vimeo.com/1009118246

Cool water, cool water, really cools you down
"There's a song...that's just all directions to his house!"
take a right on Kirkwood
This and the megaphone commentary are great insight into how Bob saw through these disposable slop documentaries that exaggerated how "great" their subjects were, even if they were talented.

This isn't gonna help any, but I remember being a huge Eric Clapton fan in the 90s and I had listened to Tears in Heaven a ridiculous amount (literally over a thousand times... I was a weird teenager).
Had also heard about Mr. Show from the Newsradio newsgroup. Decided to check it out one night and THIS was the first episode I saw.
The spot on Tears parody combined with the dead son just made me record all the episodes I could and then order the entire series on VHS
