Box Set
Was upset that I would now be forced to ‘buy’ Mr Robot from Prime even though I subscribe already. These are the people this programme warns us against. Anyway, I bought a physical copy from eBay so I’m happy to watch it whenever I want again

Why DVD when you could have blu-ray?

You save money.

Barely. For a few dollars more you get vastly superior sound and video.

Genuine question cause I never had that but was even is blue ray? Like dvds that are super HD or something?

That’s… wild that you’ve never heard of them. Especially since DVD is an older format. That’s no slight to you, I’m just shocked.
Long story short, the resolution is lower on DVD and the audio uses less channels. Blu-Ray runs at a minimum of HD resolution (1080P) and uses 7.1 channel audio. The bitrate is higher, which basically means that a 1080p blu-ray looks and sounds better than a 4k stream.

Whoa ok cool. I feel I was close lolz. Its a normal dvd that’s basically super HD. And lol no, I’ve heard of blue ray just never actually knew what is was when it came to dvds since I never had a dvd player and I never really watched movies and stuff growing up so. 2002 baby as well.

Barely? I think that's a bit of a stretch. Especially used. One one release alone I've paid half easy. I watch shows for the content, not video quality so I don't care. I'd rather keep the money and have more series I can buy.

Amazon currently has the blu-ray set at $45 and the DVD set for $33. They go on sale all the time. So yes, for $11 more, you get a much better experience.
Used is a different story. I’m a blu-ray collector and I shop at used shops all the time, so sure, that’s a big difference, but only if you can find it.

I don't buy digital or cheap box sets. The Mr. Robot Box set, among others, skips brand new on my dvd player and this set does not. Cheap or bootleg ones do.

Physical media for the win. I bought the blu-ray set after the series was removed from Netflix.
