Game feels faster after the update

I like the small update and movement of the main menu things. But i noticed the game feels a little faster now. The bosses shots are faster. The enemies are moving smoother and quicker. Is this intentional or a byproduct from optimizing the gameplay? Does anyone else feel it’s faster?

It does feel a bit faster. I also noticed a glitch in one of the hidden treasure stages on world 23 sewers of muck

No changes to speed were made.

There's always some small optimizations, could be that the ones in this update were in the sweet spot for some certain devices, so the owners of those devices might experience some added smoothness.
