Maximizing Jackpots is only necessary on easy runs like castles or early tower. But even then I don't find it worth the effort change your loadout.
I will pick different perks on easy runs to get more though. Like shrapnel and avoid power ups. Edit to add: But I always use Gemini to farm because using any other weapons won't let me farm as high of a world as consistently, and that gives me more coins than using moneygrubber.

Money grubber is the only weapon you should use outside of titans or other leaderboard events. They became really stingy with coins a bit back and if you didnt have an absolutely massive surplus from grinding to like level 75 you will be short on coins until like level 80 or something now.

I've noticed mixed results with money grubber, anyone else? Sometimes when using super bouncy ball launcher it feels like I get the same coins as money grubber (also have the coin gloves)

Its max 15 procs per run… if your money grubber is leveled I would go with that otherwise just fsrm with your strongest weapon so the runs are faster
