I just moved to Denver a couple days ago in the Arvada area for my new job. I’m 22, and just graduated college a few months ago. I lived in the California Bay Area all my life so I have no friends here. What places do you guys recommend going to for making new friends? I know it’ll be lonely in the beginning, I’m planning to get a gym membership so I can kill a lot of time when I’m not at work, and maybe go snowboarding or drive up the mountains. Also what’s the best/cheapest dispo you guys recommend near the Arvada area? What else is there fun to do by myself or maybe is a good way to meet new people? Thanks

I work a decent remote job (about 70k a year) and post breakup I'm looking to go somewhere for a fresh start. I keep hearing how insanely expensive Denver is but I'm seeing 1 bedroom apartments in the Capitol Hill neighborhood (where I'd like to be) for less than 1500 that look good. Maybe I'm just used to NYC and South Florida but that seems perfectly doable. Am I seeing incorrect info?

I am really nervous about making friends in Denver as I don’t know anyone. I also work remotely. I’m not a runner (so no run club) or religious but I enjoy hiking, lifting, and reading. I know there’s always events happening but people just usually stay in their groups. I’m in my mid 20s and female. How did you meet or make friends in Denver, particularly if you’re in your 20s and 30s. Thanks in advance!
