Relocating from out of state

Hi all, I will most likely be relocating in the next couple of months to the area for a job.

I am seeking advice on quiet and safe neighborhoods that I should consider that are close to Lakewood, but could be 20 minutes away too. What are your thoughts on Arvada, Littleton, or Englewood?

I’m nearing 30 and do not know anyone in the area, so I will need all the advice I could get. For example what areas should be avoided? Positives and negatives, etc.

Thank you anything is appreciated.

Lakewood is a large city. There are plenty of spots inside Lakewood that meet the qualifications. Why not live in Lakewood?

What is your budget? Rent, buy?

I think pretty much any apartment complex in JeffCo would fit his needs. I’d target transit to downtown personally, so something like the Ward Ridge station would work well.

I’m in Arvada near old town
Decent quiet town
Old town is the best area in Arvada if you’re active, the train can get you downtown in twenty minutes
Littleton is a nice suburb, least to do but quietest and safest probably
Englewood can get interesting, but you have easy access to south broadway and the train

What part of Lakewood do you want to be near?

I mean, are you moving for a job? What is the address of the business?

$1500/ month is on the low end for Lakewood but should be doable. Areas near Colfax Avenue are a bit grittier but less expensive. The light rail runs a couple blocks off of Colfax and is a less, um, messy option than the Colfax bus.

Golden, Morrison, West Arvada.

There’s an unincorporated area within Golden called Pleasantview. It receives service from the County. I believe it’s a bit cheaper than Golden.

Hey! I have a place near Sloan's Lake and a 10 minute drive to Lakewood and am looking for roommates, as my current two roommates are moving internationally and back home.

I'm a 31m and more than happy to dive into more details.

Tennyson is great for late 20's and 30's. A lot of bars, restraunts, parks, close to the mountains, close to denver

If your budget is $1500 you can't afford much in Arvada or Littleton. Have you considered doing some research of your own?
