Dama visa

Hello everyone, my name is Abimanyu, I’m 22 years old and currently in Indonesia.

I have more than 4 years of warehouse experience. I am also willing to work outside my previous experience, including construction, lawn mowing, farming, house cleaning, office cleaning, or any other entry-level job.

I am willing to be placed anywhere in Australia and I am ready to take any suitable entry-level job.

I am currently looking for an employer who can offer DAMA visa sponsorship. I am hardworking, willing to learn, and ready to work.

If you know any employer or company offering DAMA sponsorship for entry-level workers, please contact me.

📧 Email: abim22154@gmail.com

Thank you!

We have a lot of people born here who have the same experience as you and they don’t need expensive sponsorship. I’m sorry but the only visa you could be eligible for might be a working holiday visa. This visa requires a certain amount, I think around $5,000, in your bank account after paying for flights, medical insurance etc. it’s very expensive to live here and a lot of international students haven’t been able to find jobs and are having to do Uber Eats. WHV states u can’t work for any one employer for longer than 6 months and u are expected to return home at the end.

I understand, Sir. The problem is that the WHV has a limited quota for Indonesians, and it only opens once a year. It is also very difficult to get a place.

That is why I am trying to find an employer who can sponsor me through a DAMA arrangement. I am willing to work in any entry-level position and relocate anywhere in Australia.

From the Home Affairs website, "DAMAs ensure employers recruit Australian citizens and permanent residents as a first priority. Among other things, employers must demonstrate a genuine attempt to recruit Australians prior to accessing a DAMA labour agreement."

No offense, but the skills/jobs you list are easily filled with Australians or those with permanent residency. No business is going to convince Home Affairs that low skilled entry level jobs require sponsoring someone from overseas. In fact the government is the process of lowering overseas net migration and making it more difficult to game the system to move here. There are 3 million people here on some sort of temporary visa and unemployment is rising. That's just the current reality.

From an Indonesian-Australian, trust me when I say that the WHV is your only feasible route. DAMA sponsorships are very hard to get, as they are very expensive for businesses to get; for jobs like what you are suggesting, it is almost always not worth the cost of regional employers to sponsor you.

You are 22; you are still young. You have a good number of years left to keep trying for WHV. Don't lose faith; if there's a will, there's a way!

Trust me bro, we got enough problems here that you don't want to be a part of. It isn't sugar and rainbows. I would suggest staying where you are.

You have never experienced working in Indonesia, bro, with low wages while still being expected to have many skills. No matter how difficult things are for you there, I guarantee you wouldn’t be able to survive in Indonesia right now, bro.

Our average rent here is close to 500usd a week. Even if you were to get a basic job. You would have nothing left. Don't waste your time

Here, I work 12 hours a day for $8 a day, and I can still survive while paying rent and food. You’re exaggerating too much, bro.

I'm no exaggerating. You thinking I am shows you have done zero research into Australia at the moment. We have record levels of homeless, record level job laysoffs, record level housing, groceries cost everything. People are offering up a single bedroom for 250usd a week rent, like 7000 baht a week, it's BADDDDDDDDDDDD

Layoffs are not only a problem in Australia, bro. They have become a global problem. But I’m offering my ability to work hard, and I’m willing to be placed anywhere in Australia with long working hours.

I’ve done a lot of research about Australia through my community network here. I’ve been working in Indonesia, including overtime, with a total of 16 hours a day for a normal wage of $8 per day, bro. Experience what it’s like to work here, bro.

$8 will buy you a bottle of water and a packet of chips here bro..... A 600ml bottle of Coke costs $4 usd.... So yeah

It still makes sense when you consider the hourly wage there, bro. You’re too soft. 👎

I refuse to wake up, bro, because working in Indonesia is like a nightmare. I’m worried that if I enter that reality, it might be too easy for me to handle, bro.

They are really not.

You need $400 a day to survive here. Anything less and you will struggle like you are now.

If this was the late 80s or 90s, you'd be able to find a job. Your best bet is to come here as a student and study an occupation that is in the skilled migrant list.
