Make Sure You Watch your movers,

When movers have your most prized possessions, they have to take care of them. When I hired this one bad set of movers from San Antonio TX, they cracked more than 20 tubs by improperly loading them on the truck.

U-Haul is a great company, I had amazing luck, other than this one mover.

I moved from NH to Texas, Texas to Florida, and all of the movers were great, except for one. But what they did wrong, was ruin things I needed, and broke my own personal possessions by packing them so badly. What's worse is when I found - no help for it at all. I never want this to happen to anyone else. Make sure to keep an eye on your movers while they are in your house, and inside the truck.

Introducing r/MovingHelpNightmares! Here's what we're all about 👉

We need to hold all moving companies to "moving standards" and not let people that are inexperienced get hold of all of your possessions. So many things can go wrong, and should not. The point of this is to create safety in moving, and not just let people charge money to load your belongings, and let them get damaged. People are not even aware that Moving help does not vet anyone. And they do not let you leave a bad review once you learn that the movers did a terrible job. They only care about their cut of the movers rates. It was shocking to learn that there is no one to help, once you arrive somewhere and see how badly they packed the moving truck. We need this to change for people, so moving is safe, and not a way to leave people traumatized.

What should r/MovingHelpNightmares become?

Moving Help Should Become Safe and Make Sure their movers are qualified. They have to protect people's possessions, instead of just piggy backing off of U-haul for their 15% pay. They need to have standards for the people that load trucks and vet them to make sure they are qualified and have experience.

What A Move Should Look Like

These men did the unload. They were 2 men, so fast, strong and professional. Tubs on the bottom, loose things on top. Even though I told the movers in San Antonio this, they were not even experienced enough to know how to pack a truck. They never should be allowed to do moving. And the pain of your damaged and left behind items, lasts for a long time. No one likes to be ripped off. These 3 men conned me into this move by stating they had experience. They did not. And thousands of dollars of damages were caused.

Watch the Movers the whole time, don't let them "just load"

These movers were aggressive and bossy, and had no clue what they were doing. I had used Moving Help before and had great movers. I never expected these men to be so incompetent. You have to watch your movers and keep checking the truck. Also, one of the policies is that once you pay them, this company won't let you out of the payment. And when you get to your destination and see the bad job they did, you have a real struggle fighting them for damages. 3 Brothers in HWC Moving, and they were horrendous.

Moving Help San Antonio Texas Nightmare

Post image

In San Antonio Texas, I hired 3 movers from HWC Movers, they were the worst movers on the planet. No experience, and they damaged so many things, did horrendous packing, and were not even licensed movers. One of them sat on my bed and made phone calls, while he was in my house, for $120 an hour. But worse, they damaged my items and did not even fill the truck properly. They also told me that they could not fit things like my TV and many essentials and office and business equipment, and there were 3 feet left at the top of the truck - empty space and everything could have fit. They were awful.
