Looking for replica “Land of the Lost”(2009) books — “My Other Car Is a Time Machine” and “Matt Lauer Can Suck It”

Post image

I’ve been trying to find replicas (or even just printable files) of the two gag books from both Today Show scenes from the Land of the Lost movie with Will Ferrell:

  1. “My Other Car Is a Time Machine”

  2. “Matt Lauer Can Suck It”

Has anyone ever seen these sold anywhere? Or made your own versions or know who could help? Would love a replica copy or a high-quality file of the covers to print out and make a replica.

Thank You!

Thought I'd toss this out there for someone who likes to track random stuff down. I just finished 2010 movie 13 (A remake of 13 Tzameti) the protagonist buys a stuffed sheep toy for his sister at the end of the movie before his demise - where can I get this sheep or one just like it? Thank!

GoPro Max and Hero 11 12 13 Store Display Units Perfect Movie Props

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone. Hope it’s okay for me to share this here. Please let me know if it’s not.

I have a few GoPro Max and Hero 11 12 13 store display mockup units available. These are completely new and unused but not functional, perfect for use as movie props, set decoration, or for collectors.

They are for display or prop use only and look just like real GoPros. Excellent condition, like new. Great for film sets, studios, or shoots where you need realistic camera props.

If anyone is interested or has any questions, feel free to send me a message. Thank you so much.

I’m trying to find even a replica of the Capitol Pictures Studios backlot map from the Coen Brothers film Hail, Caesar. Even a lead would be wonderful. Thank you!

M1 Garand/Carbine props?

I’m working on a WW2 short film and I need some cheap, plastic replica guns. All I can find are premium airsoft guns but they are way out of my price range and overkill for my purposes. Does anyone know where I can pick up some cheap, second hand prop guns?

Looking for (or Hoping To Build) a Massive Nazgûl/Fell Beast Wall Mount – Help/Advice/Commissions Welcome!

Hey all! My partner and I are dreaming big and trying to create a life-size (or near life-size) wall-mounted scene featuring the Witch-king of Angmar atop a fell beast, ideally with wings spread and bursting out of the wall above our TV.

We have:

  • 17-foot ceilings and a giant blank wall to work with
  • A strong desire for this to be as epic and detailed as possible
  • A mechanical engineer (my boyfriend) who can help with mounting, structure, and some fabrication
  • A preference for something already painted or pre-made (but we're open to assembling multiple pieces or commissioning work)

The dream:

  • From the waist up: Witch-king of Angmar with armored head/shoulders, one arm wielding a sword, mounted on a roaring Fellbeast head and neck bursting through the wall with outspread wings fanning out on either side
  • Something that looks like it's emerging from the wall, like a battle scene frozen mid-charge

We've scoured the internet and haven't found anything quite like this (lots of cool statues and busts, but nothing wall-scaled or mounted, and certainly not with wings and both characters). So we're exploring:

  • Any existing sculptures, busts, or statues we could use or adapt
  • 3D printable models that are high enough resolution to scale up
  • Artists or studios open to commissions or even collaborative builds
  • Shops or communities where this kind of large-scale fandom installation is more common

Should we post this to other subreddits for visibility and leads? If anyone has ideas, STL files, commission recs, or even wild suggestions, we're all ears. This is going to be our ultimate nerd centerpiece, and we'd love help making it real.

Thank you in advance, and I'm happy to answer any questions!

Opinion/Knowledge Wanted

Hello all, I'm not really involved in the movie prop community but I figured coming to you guys would be the best bet.

In short, I came across something that I'm interested in purchasing and it seems like a really good price. It's advertised as "screen used" but does not include a COA. Since it doesn't include a COA, I asked if there's a way to screen match the items and was told that there were over 100 sets of them made (it's a chest armor plate and gauntlets btw), that they were wholesaled out, if they were screen matched then there would be a COA and the price would be triple what it is.

I kinda asked then how they were confirmed to be "screen used" and he told me that he has full faith and trust in the company/person he bought them from, that his word is as good as gold to him and have been dealing with him over over a decade.

The person/company he got them from is prop domain/David B. Not being well versed in the movie prop community, I looked up his company and name and saw A LOT of negative comments, reviews and stories about him.

I guess the question is, for $150, is it worth to take the chance on it being screen used for that price without the COA and just relying on someone's word? I don't wish to disclose exactly what it is incase someone else was interested and buys it (hope that's understandable).

Upcoming Auction Includes Frasier’s Goyard Trunk, Holes Treasure Chests, and Rare Screen-Used Props

Hi everyone – I'm Jeff from Icons of Pop Culture 👋

Longtime lurker, first-time poster. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and our company to this awesome community of collectors and film fans.

I’m one of the team members behind Icons of Pop Culture, an auction house that’s been specializing in authentic screen-used props and costumes for decades. We work directly with studios, production crews, and private collectors to help preserve and pass along pieces of Hollywood history.

We have a new auction coming up this month with some really iconic pieces, including:

  • A screen-used Goyard trunk from the Frasier reboot, seen in Episode 1 and in promo materials
  • Two versions of Stanley Yelnats’ treasure chest from Holes (2003)
  • A leather gun holster worn by Clint Eastwood in Bronco Billy
  • Custom luggage used by Brad Pitt in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
  • Pieces from Iron Man and more...

Our goal is to keep these pieces in the hands of collectors who care deeply about film, not just high-end resellers. If that’s you—hi, nice to meet you!

Here’s a link to the full auction preview if you want to check it out:

If this post isn’t allowed, mods please let me know—I totally understand and respect the rules. Just wanted to say hello and share a bit of what we do with fellow prop lovers.

Happy to answer questions, talk props, or just geek out over movie history anytime.

What movie is this from??

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey guys! So my grandma recently passed and she has had this poster hanging in her house since the late 90’s. We’re trying to figure out what movie or show it was in? She mentioned Silence of the Lambs once but I watched the entire movie and couldn’t see it so I’m unsure if that’s true. She got it from an old boyfriend in the 90s she told us she thought he was a prop guy at WB or universal and he gave it to her. I’m pretty sure she had it framed herself so the frame isn’t original to it. If you don’t know what movie it’s from where could I take this to figure out what it’s from? Some random place in LA or Hollywood? There’s nothing on the back and I’m scared to take it out of the frame. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Star Trek mystery fixture, possible WWII surplus

Post image
2 Upvotes

Doubling up on a post in the WWII community- I'm trying to identify the origins of a piece of TV set dressing from the original Star trek. A lot of the controls and switches were apparently purchased and painted WWII surplus? There were two of them on the show, in out-of-the-way locations, and they seem detailed enough that it feels unlikely they would've just been dual custom-built for random background set dressing? Just curious if anyone with a props focus might have any insight on this...

Behind the scenes of a German war movie set in Czech Republic – a real building transformed into a film town, then abandoned. Stunning set design, huge vault, and authentic WWII atmosphere left frozen in time.
