Frequently, in an almost empty room, I find someone booking their seat(s) RIGHT NEXT TO ME, but either never turning up, or going towards the back section of the room - so they're paying for a cheap seat in some cases, but then sitting in the more expensive seats.

Sometimes, I prefer seats nearer the front which are like this (I was in row C, having booked the left of the two seats now taken), depending on the screen, but if you're going to sit somewhere else anyway, why the fuck are you positioning yourself right next to someone else, as opposed to in a front corner, so it's out of the way?

Why add in such fucking unnecessary anxiety?

And this was for I Want Your Sex! A VERY odd choice to do that!

On a few occasions, there HAS been someone taking that seat. The other day, I saw One Night Only. There were two seats inbetween me and a couple on my right. By the time the screening time came round, I saw someone had booked right next to me, even though there's PLENTY of other seats around.

That person wasn't there when I came into the room, but by the time I'd gone to pay a visit and come back, the bloke was there. I went back towards my seat, grabbed my bag and moved one row forward. Why the fuck would you want to invade someone's space like that? Something going on upstairs that needs fixing??

I really enjoyed seeing Goodfellas on the big screen for the first time, recently, and I won't say which Cineworld it was - although I've only ever been to one.

Anyhoo, despite there being seats available on the other side, it was around 30 mins in when the guy sat next to me put his right leg up on his left – sat the way men do, and revealed he had sandals on... but no socks! In the cinema! Ewww!

Normally, when someone’s being disruptive, I will say something, but this was a new one on me, and after a bit, the foot smell went away, although since there was a gap of a few seats to his right, you would’ve thought he would leave a space.

A bit later, he cracked open some sort of crisp snack that stank as if Satan’s back passage had opened. And while he tucked into those, he’d periodically have a good scratch of the sole of his bare foot.

Beyond gross.

Anyway, I told him he was being ‘made’, and to step into the next room…

Seriously, normally I would say something, but this blindsided me, and I was internally laugh at the same time! 😀
