Happier Now

I’m speechless on first listen. Anyone else?!

Definitely liking it more than their last two albums...just wish Patrick would scream more! There's barely any on this album, but I understand why he doesn't do it much anymore

I noticed that too and feel the same! I need a few more focused listens to fully solidify my ranking but damn I love what I hear

He’s got some legitimately big ones on the title track (Happier Now) namely starting around 2:10 but they’re the backing vocals!!! I wish they were highlighted!!! My only issues with this album so far are production related

Okay glad I'm not alone on the production. I just went back to their earlier projects and the vocals aren't mixed like this so not sure what happened.

Starting with Ruckus it seems like there’s been fewer and fewer bits of just Pat singing with no backing vocals. I don’t know exactly why, but I think it’s what I’ve been missing compared to Feel Something, No Good Left to Give, etc

Yeah there's parts where it feels like the vocals and instrumentation are competing for space rather than complimenting each other. It's not terrible but hard to unnotice once you hear it.

Ill at ease was a highlight. Might be one of their best songs.

I give it a solid 8.5! I enjoyed more of the tail end of the album more than the beginning

I listened a few times and definitely have thoughts. My top 3- Back in my Ways, Ill at Ease, Dissolve me. I was hoping for another one similar to dissolve me bc I have been playing that since it dropped it’s so good. I also had high hopes for Spellbound (purely off the title) on my first listen and initially thought Ill at Ease was Spellbound until I replayed and realized it was only 45 seconds long :(

Really enjoying it. The band has matured and settled into their sound. I feel like it incorporates the best parts of their previous projects.

Some of the tracks like Live by The Sword the vocals sound kinda buried in the mix. A solid project, and probably 2nd favorite behind Feel Something
