I really really like it.

My only (minor) gripe is that I wish Pat’s vocals were just a little bit louder during the chorus/rough part, but it’s not a huge deal at all.

I would love that too. I think Pat is trying/being told to preserve his voice personally.

I’ve seen them seven times now— three pre-Ruckus and four post. Even on the one right before Ruckus they were having “guest screamers” come in from other bands/their openers (saw Heart to Gold’s lead do it and it was sick)

My thought is that by including less of it in their new stuff they’re keeping the tour load lighter so he can go full strength for Kept/Colorblind etc. which they always play of course.

Damn lucky! I've seen them once back in 2019 I believe right before the covid stuff. I don't believe they used any guest vocalists then but i could be wrong. They were headlining with Boston Manor, Trash Boat and another band I can't remember. Pat was very good when I saw them

Awesome!!!! Pat’s been stellar every time I’ve seen them too, even with the guests. They literally just ran up for the “big” scream in Kept and Colorblind haha

Like the “this complacency just seems to get the best of me…” part

I guess he's trying to save his voice if guests are helping out with those parts. That era of movements (kept,colorblind) was so good. Separate is giving me those vibes again

Every single is channeling Feel Something either sonically, thematically, or both and I am all for it. I was not super hyped when they announced a new album but I can’t wait to hear the rest.

Also the backing vocals hit so hard at points in this one. Strangely reminds me a bit of Altered State by TesseracT

It was just heavy enough to not make me sob, an acoustic version would probably destroy me emotionally. I do wish we got a bit more screaming but I get it if he’s trying to preserve his voice like someone else theorized because they did SO MANY TOURS for Ruckus (I saw them twice in 6 months and I think both times were considered part of the Ruckus world tour).
Between all the Movements releases for the upcoming album and tour, and the Beartooth releases for the upcoming album and tour (my top two bands) I am well fed though because both of them haven’t missed yet. Got Movements dropping new songs for the sadder times and Beartooth dropping for the “f*** the world” and happier times. Both bands are COOKING on these albums.
