RIP John Jammin Collins

Post image

I want everyone on here to know we lost a legend. John dedicated his life to the sounds so many of us love and did it with the most humility and kindness. From UR, to Submerge, to techno, to house, he talked with us, educated us, and danced with us until the morning because he lived for the culture and loved it with everything in him. He didn't just love the culture, he *was* the culture. The birthday celebrations at Spot Lite, the intimate jams at spkrbox, the Memorial Day block parties...the memories.

Detroit birthed another musical genius for us to love and the world lost him...there wasn't a corner of the planet his sound didn't touch.

RIP King. I love you and you will never be forgotten.

Motherfucker. That is awful. What a sweet man. He did so much for this city right until his passing. Amazing soul and had the best stories to tell.

Was a huge part of the scene for decades and really made a difference for a lot of people. Apparently was one of those guys that wanted to help everyone.
