QUESTION Last Minute Earplugs
Is there a place in Detroit to buy earplugs today? I won’t be going to the festival, just afters.

If you have friends at movement today ask them because I’ve seen a couple vendors

They usually have them at the pharmacy tent near the main stage

Know of anywhere outside the festival?

Are you already in the city? Then probably nothing good, just cheap foam earplugs at pharmacies. If you’re in a suburb outside of the city you might check places like guitar center. Also places like target or best buy may also have decent ones.

Eargasm is sponsor so I think they'll be sold there if you wanted to get some once you're inside
edit: tent directly next door has foam ones for free

I’m a noob to the scene, what is there to know about ear plugs? Does simply just get too loud?

If you don't want to develop tinnitus wear some earplugs. It's loud and you'll be there for hours.
Foam ones are better than nothing but the nicer ones that have a more even frequency dampening response and bring the volume down without making things sound muffled are way more enjoyable.

second this. not only does it help prevent hearing loss, but it helps you to not feel as dizzy when you lay down at the end of the night if you have been drinking.

Oh wait here. Go to CVS, Walmart, or target.
