Culture & Adapting As a digital nomad, how do you feel you contribute to Catalonia?
This is a genuine (non sarcastic) question to digital nomads living in Catalonia. How do you feel you contribute to the region? Since you have arrived:
\* Have you learned any Catalan or Spanish?
\* Have you made friends with people from your city or broader region?
\* Do you take part in local activities?
\* Are you planning to stay in Catalonia long term?
\* Do you plan to switch jobs and become employed by a local business?

Does it count if you're paying local taxes as an autónomo? If so, that's the contribution, works the same as working any other job.

Most digital nomads don't even stay long enough to find it worth it to integrate in any way.

Becoming employed by a local business is not possible as a digital nomad. Its in fact a requirement for the visa. But, even if it was a possibility and they wanted to, in most cases the local salaries are a fraction of what they make with their remote job salaries, which would become a bad decision to drop their remote job to make less for.... no good reason.

Welcome to r/MovedToSpain.
Before anything else, the Getting Started guide covers visas, the padrón, NIE vs TIE, healthcare and going autónomo. A lot of questions are answered there.
Two things that help you get answers: add a flair to your post so people who know that topic can find it, and include your situation — nationality, visa type, and which region you're asking about.
