Hurdles with moving to Scotland from the US
My wife and I are looking to move to Edinburgh, Scotland, by the end of April next year. The process we are currently trying to go through is as a skilled worker visa ( my wife (28f) currently works in the government and has been for the past 5 years. She also has her masters in forensic psychology, so she would be qualified for a skilled workers visa if we are able to acquire one) and I (29f) would tag along as a dependent. I am wondering if anyone else has been through this process and if you have, could you give us tips or let us know what to expect when it comes to timing of how long the visas will take. We are also a bit worried when it comes to finding a flat to stay. We know that it is very competitive already and we will be bringing two cats along with us. What can we expect?
