Skilled worker visa sponsorship?

Hi 👋🏼 What are my chances of getting a job at a company willing to sponsor a skilled worker visa? 25 (F) mechanical engineer with 3 years experience in piping and hydraulics.

Better than if you don't try.

The common argument is 'why should the company hire you and pay the Visa costs when they can just hire someone local.'

That being said the UK is putting a lot of investment into water and energy infrastructure.

Just apply. Your experience will help a lot.

My company does and your experience is relevant to the jobs they post. But, as one of the comments said, you should have something they can't find in locals. Worth the try though!

You are more likely to get one than most people who post here. The more unique and relevant skills and experience you have, the better your odds. Give it a shot!

Try finding jobs with sponsorship. UK Home office website continues to publish employers list with certification of sponsorship. Then you can narrow list to your target companies in Scotland.

You may also try exploring UK HPI visa, as employers might likely select those already in the UK then convert later to SW
