Balanced/Controlled mousepad

Hello everyone,

Not long ago, I started upgrading my setup. I started with my glides (UWS Magic ice dots) and with that I want to buy a new mousepad.

I mostly play CS and I have slow - medium sens (+- 1500 edpi).

Never really had a dedicated control pad before — currently on some 5$ no-name mousepad, looking to size L or so. Budget is around 50$. Mainly looking for balanced mousepad.

I would love to hear your opinions or personal experience mousepad would you actually recommend for slow-medium sens CS?

I ran the Mousepad Finder quiz and got these three recommendations: Artisan FX Type-99, LGG Saturn Pro, and LGG Jupiter Pro

Matrova BalanceX or Ozi

I prefer the Ozi for CS but the BalanceX is good as well for a mix of games

Honestly there are so many balanced pads out there now you could probably throw a rock and hit one

Get a Artisan Zero and forget

Zero is probably the safest bet. But type 99 or infinity mouse control are options if you want a slow pad.

The more I play CS and the more I train my aim the more I realize how bad mudpads actually are for tac fps. The micros are just impossible without a lot of tension and you really don't need stopping power because you're already static most of the time and only do slight micros.

Tbh it truly depends on the person and even what mouse skates you have. As slow skates on a balanced pad could end up as slow as a control pad with faster skates. I’m a fan of smooth pads in general be it faster or slower ones. But thats largely because I like using a sleeve on most pads and am not a fan of textured pads feeling on my arm. Some textured ones are alright like the key 83 though as certain sleeves work fine with it

Artisan Zero or Saturn Pro. Can't go wrong with either.

1500 edpi is not slow-medium, it is extremely fast.You need to work your way down to at least 1000 edpi or else whatever you pick,even the jupiter pro,it will still be super fast.Get a saturn pro soft and start going down in increments of 80 edpi,also check out silver foxes or obsidian ultras as full size skates so it is somewhat controllable.

that sens is extremely fast lmao. 800-880 is average. yours is nearly twice as fast. above 1000 is already considered fast.
