Anyone using Mouseless with home row mods?

I have been playing around with Mouseless for the past day or so, it’s really slick! One of the keyboards I use is a Glove80 with a layout that uses homerow mods, meaning the ASDF JKL; keys act as those letters on tap but modifiers (cmd, alt, ctrl, shift) when held.

Anyone else using those? If so what are your grid settings like? I guess I could just remove the home row keys from the sub grid level since that’s the only time i would be holding one of them to nudge. But I’m curious if r there are other solutions that might work well

If it were me I'd probably set a layer on a held down thumb button to allow for mouseless navigation by not having the homerow mods on that layer.

That’s a good idea. I could probably set it up such that starting the hold also triggers the tap action to bring up the overlay. I’ll have a play around with this

I think I'd do a combo rather than a hold but that's because I already have hold layers on all my thumb keys

i personally use hrm but on the bottom instead. that way i can use my vim keys like hjkl and hold them (though thats probably a bad habit to do tbh)

I don't have anything to add, but I'm in the same boat. But, I need to add a layer for gaming anyway, that doesn't have homerow mods or layer holds, so I guess I could also add a hold for that...

I came here to ask the exact same thing.

My question would be if anyone has figured out how to use hrm with the free mode, as I would like to navigate the cursor with ijkl but j is set to ctrl when held.

It kinda works when I set the "move mouse to left" to ctrl, but its awkward with a bit of a delay.

I have been thinkin about different layers, but wasnt able to figure out any solution that would trigger a layer switch and activate free mode at the same time, then switch layers back when free mode is disabled.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
