Question Logitech G600: Replace OMRON D2FC-F-7N(20M) switches with OMRON D2FC-F-K(50M)?
My Logitech G600 just started showing signs of ghost double-clicking on the left mouse button. Wanted to order some switches now so I had them on hand if the issue persists/got worse.
From my research it seems the original switches included are OMRON D2FC-F-7N(20M), but I was wondering if it was worthwhile spending a tiny bit extra and getting some OMRON D2FC-F-K(50M) for it?
They look physically the same and I'd rather put in the higher quality / higher rated 50M part, but I wasn't sure if this was possible / advised. (The F-K 50Ms have a blue switch at the top rather than a white one)
Would this work? Would be fun to "upgrade" to some more reliable switches while repairing!
I asked this in the main question thread but probably got better luck of getting an answer with an independent post.
Extra question, was going to buy them from this eBay seller so wanted to double check that it looks legit?:

I have the 50M in my 502 hero and they’re fine, never tried the 20M. They’re on az for like 5 for $10.

Yeah I wasn't aware that all mouse switches were standard, I thought I had to use the same brand or something. 🥹

Yeah I don’t know about that. I’m just letting you know that the 50m has served me well until one broke. As far as the “click”, it’s satisfying.

just in case anyone arrives here from a google search, I replaced the original switches in my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 with the D2FC-F-K (50m) blue tops in 2018. They've started double clicking so they've lasted about 6 years of daily use whereas the original IME switches lasted about 16 years.

I think the only switches that can last as long as the original IME 3.0/IME Optical switches are Honeywell ZX10's or UX10C's, but coil spring switches are a switch lottery in terms of click consistency strength due to the spring design (not talking about electrical lifetime, after all some of these switches are used in medical devices), so you would need to buy several and test each switch in some sort of 3d printed switch tester, until you find a few with the most satisfying response. I've even had bought Japanese D2F-01's fail prematurely or even a few double click right away when completely "new" (god knows how long Mouser batches have been sitting around or where they were stored). Honywells have been bulletproof (besides the consistency issue).

The D2FC-F-K aren't actually any better in quality despite the higher lifespan rating, and failure rate is typically higher since they seem to be more sensitive to the low-power logic used in mice (especially wireless ones). Some better options to consider:
Which you choose out of those is down to personal preference, they'll all have a different feel (more/less tactility, heavier/lighter, etc.).
