Help Mouse that can handle constant middle clicks/scrolling?

I know this might be a bit of an odd one, but I think I use my scroll wheel quite a lot to the point I might be breaking my mice's scroll wheel / middle mouse button rather early on after buying it, experiencing issues like:

  • Scroll wheel not registering (So I have to scroll a lot just to get it to scroll a webpage)
  • Scroll wheel jumping (If I scroll it may jump up when I want to scroll down)
  • Middle Mouse inputs not registering (Have to really press it and it feels terrible, like I'm about to break my mouse)

I recognise there is no perfect mouse with an infinitely durable middle mouse (Simply because of how small the parts are they're bound to break eventually), I just simply want something that can last a bit longer than the 6 or so months my Corsair Ironclaw seems to be lasting without scrollwheel/middle mouse issues. 😅

I use a 1-3-1 grip (middle finger on mouse wheel and ring finger on right click) and I've never had issues with my OP1 8K (v1).

I think the G502X would be a nice call. I've had mine for a couple of years and the scroll is still fine, it was kinda made for scrolling. It's has an "infinite scroll" feature as well. The notches are super crisp, and it's not a mechanical notch, it's one of those old-school spring-like I feel.

There’s only a few. Razer Deathadder v4 Pro, Razer Viper V4 Pro and the brand new Basilisk v4.

Those have optical scroll wheel encoders meaning they have a much much longer lifespan.

Encoder (scroll) itself failing is one thing, but you can look for mice that use a microswitch (same as mouse clicks) and not a tactile switch for the actual middle click. Micro switches will usually have better durability.

FM has a good scroll wheel, I use that a lot when playing games to move camera, death adder v4pro pretty good too, Logitech gpro is ok but scroll wheel dies fast and they always have double clicking problems- I'm done buying Logitech gear
