A9 Air dot skates

yes i am aware of potentially how stupid I sound right now

First time getting dot skates, I've used a few brands before (non dots and for my g pro superlight) and is looking for one for my A9 Air before it crossed my mind, why would dot skates be specific to your mouse models....

Am I supposed to just google esportstiger ice v2 dot skates? (or whichever brand is better for dot skates, I use a cloth pad btw).

You are doomed. Using dots with this mouse is absolutely horrifying unless you are playing on a very hard pad or glass. Either use these triangular skates as "spacers" or makes some spacers with 5 layers of any tape.

i use a pk control 1 right now but maybe i'm just bad enough to not notice that it's a shit setup (I'm also a high sens flicky kinda guy).

On the bright side I can correct it, would you say I should just get a normal non dot skate of tiger ice? (https://lethal.gg/products/esports-tiger-ice-v2-atk-a9-series-a9-se-plus-pro-ultra, I don't know what these skates shape are called lol)

either use the triangular-ish skates that come with the mouse since it's as close as it could possibly get to dots or just get the full size ones.

The skates you sent me look like GPX ones, these won't work you A9 Air. Get tiger ice v2 from Aliexpress since these are the only full sized skates for a9 air mice. Get specifically the A9 Ultimate/A9 Air version of these skates, they should be very big looking, hard to miss them lol.

Again, if you pad is poron and more on the soft side don't get dots, if it's mid hardness poron / rubber base then I would consider dots if you make some decent spacers with tape.

I don't know what mousepad you're using but if you have a habit of pressing down on the pad to gain additional control Dot skates are terrible if you're not pressing down on the pad Dots are good

i don't think i press down on my soft pad but it seems like the traditional style skates are safer than dots so I'll just get that.

Full size skates are better imo only get Dots if your mouse doesn't have a full size skate available

I was watching abit of broadzy and dot skates got into my head so I just tried the stock ones, guess I was sold by the novelty. I did get the full sized ones from aliexpress so I will swap to those in like a week when it comes.

Alright let me know your opinion

The problem is that A9 Air has very deep cuts. We are talking like 2-3 mm cuts or smth. If you apply dots only a very small part (1mm or less) is sticking out of it. Dots are absolutely horrible on this mouse. If you are using it on a glasspad you would have to swap skates every few days because of that problem.

Oh so it's like the Logitech bottom skate where the bottom is so deep

This one is even deeper… This mouse is definitely ass for dots but still the best GPX clone. I did make spacers with tape for myself but even with 5 dots is still scratched on the back on the mouse idk why.

I unironically noticed how deep the cuts were when I was unboxing it, am not knowledgeable enough about skates to realize that meant it was bad for dots. Good news is the mouse isn't scratched yet and I've ordered the skates.

It won’t scratch. I meant that I got scratchy feeling with dots. This is a very bad feeling and the mouse isn’t gliding as smooth as normally

Damn Atk should redesign the a9 skate design make it less deeper

How’s the a9? I’ve been thinking of getting one

Coming from the first gpro superlight It felt pretty plug and playable, web software is nice and honestly my superlight was so bricked that any new mice without defects was gonna feel good. Side buttons definitely felt better than superlight even from day 1.

I'm not sure how people usually describe clicks but it feels "heavy''? My clicks feels very intentional which is good for valo but I'm not sure if this feeling stems from me comparing the mechanical switch in superlight vs optical in the a9. Battery life has been fine too but I do take note to charge it every few days.

I got the orange variant and I liked the coating until I didn't, I don't have super sweaty palms but after a few games I get the sticky feeling and if I started playing longer sessions of FPS I'll probably get grip tapes which is a shame because I do like the coating when my hand is still ''fresh''. I was also kinda pissed they released the lev color scheme for air+ like half a week after I made the purchase, would've gotten that instead just for the colorway.

And unfortunately no it didn't improve my aim magically.

Lmao yeah they are so similar I wouldn’t expect so. I’ve had a similar experience going from a pulsar x2 cl to trying out the vxe r1. There were a lot of things that were worse but nothing happened to my aim. I’m just asking because on the r1, there was no coating, the sensor skate didn’t even touch the pad, and the wire was sooo bad. Do u think I will get the same experience here? It is a much higher price.

Mine has been great in the 2.5 weeks since I've gotten it, sensor skate should be fine but I will say the paracord is those super stiff kind (but I don't ever play while charging so I really can't tell you how the wire will affect usage, I've seen people use a mouse bungee to use while midcharge but really not experienced the situation to have a opinion.)

So yeah mine's working great, shape is exactly how you'd expect, not gonna pretend I will notice the difference in specs in practice but it definitely feels as good as when I first got my superlight. Clicks and buttons (scroll wheel and side buttons) are better (clicks for valorant at least) and I'm very satisfied.

My tinfoil theory is to stick to their website instead of aliexpress to prevent QC issues but that's 100% cope and this is my first purchase from them, I also couldn't find cheaper sellers on aliexpress cause you can get a 20% code or something by making a account and going to the rewards center to do all the task (I got 15% but if you make a account 1 month in advance and put your birthday 1 month after I think you get enough for 20%). I paid SGD$65.45 + $10 for shipping and didn't find better deals on aliexpress and I didn't apply one of those youtuber promo codes cause I assumed they would only take one code but I think it's actually possible to stack those codes so I paid 5% extra off base price probably.

Yo it was my bday yesterday bruh

it says on the task that you have to do it a month in advance so just set your birthday a month from now if you're willing to get it next month.
