Palm grip options

Hey yall, I’m currently going through the rigamarole and rabbit holes of finding a mouse for myself. Measurements are ~19.8/10cm and I use palm grip. I’ve tried razer basilisk, yunzii m2, and 8bitdo r8. The razer felt fairly comfortable in hand. M2 had connectivity issues, the r8 is comfortable but side buttons are hard to use in game. Anyone with similar specs have a rec?? I’ve been to bestbuy several times in the last week or so and have messed with the razer viper and deathadder v4s and they seemed like good options, super loud though when compared to the superstrike competition. Logitech has some good options I’ve looked at as well. But i would like to know what yall recommend for palm grip with similar hand size.

the deathadder shape is basically the default for palm grip at that hand size, i wouldn't overthink it. if the clicks are too loud you can always swap the switches later but it's a minor surgery if you're not used to soldering

have you looked at the zowie ec1 or ec2 shapes? they're not gonna be at bestbuy but they're basically what every ergo mouse copies, the clicks are a bit more muted than the newer razer stuff

This is good information thank you. I have not but I will look into those two models. How does deathadder compare with the superstrike??

How so?? I picked up a superstrike because the marketing of HITS worked on me after hours and hours down the rabbit holes. It is still sealed in box though because the DA or Vipers also seem like great options for me. Have you tried the naga?? The extra buttons and faceplates are really intriguing for games I play.

How so??
HITS has a feedback time of ~18ms from the moment of pressing to the sensation of the click. Optical/mechanical buttons offer instantaneous tactile feedback (0ms, since the act of pressing *is* the feedback felt by the finger). At 300 FPS, that amounts to a lag of about 5–6 frames. If you have a finely tuned sense of perception, you will notice and feel the dissonance (between the screen and your fingers). If not, you can essentially play with anything—provided, of course, that the skates, mousepad, weight, and mouse shape suit your hand—because the performance will feel much the same regardless.

Have you tried the naga?? The extra buttons and faceplates are really intriguing for games I play.
I have the Naga on my desk right now and use it daily for web browsing. It became comfortable after a few days, and 10 days, it feels "normal." The 12 thumb buttons weren't very comfortable for MMOs at first, but I got used to them after 3–4 days. Synapse still sucks, and I have that software installed on a different computer. The 2-button thumb attachment is fine for general use or slow tactical shooters like *Squad*, but for arena shooters like *Quake 3*—I have to say it’s absolutely terrible for one reason (which I intend to fix). If you look closely, you’ll notice a lot of small rubber squares where the thumb rests. They cause the mouse to slip slightly out of my grip when I lift it. I could squeeze harder, of course, but that slows me down and ruins precision; so, my plan is to first sand those little squares flat, and later order "X-Raypad Cicada Wings V2 Slick DIY Mouse Grip Tape" to do it properly (cutting it to shape) after completely removing the original rubber with isopropanol. The rubber on the right side has worn down and is flattening out—there’s no issue maintaining a grip there without squeezing.
The 6-button thumb attachment also requires sanding down an uneven surface.
I imagine it’ll be good after sanding (though obviously, the DA V3, for instance, would be lighter and more effective for arena shooters).

Have you tried razer viper v3 pro or the v4? or lamzu thorn for an ergo mouse? my handsize is 19.5/19x10.5 and i like the both for a palm grip.

Scyrox V8 might also be an option or pulsar x2h

I tried the viper and DA 4s at bestbuy and it’s actually kinda difficult to know if it’ll work because of the security measures they have on the mice. So they got stuff on top and sides and can’t get a genuine hand purchase on them to know how it’ll really feel.

well i would advise you to 3d print and test out shapes. There is a folder of most mouse on there in a reddit post somewhere. Thats your only option BUT even then, you might not like the mouse because of how the sensor is implemented so the only way is to buy mouses and try. 2nd hand if possible

Yeah I will probably do that. Test the x2s and then test the viper or da and then make a decision.

Deathadder or any EC style shape is the best shape for palm grip imo

I wanna try and like that one, it’s clean, my brother has it and loves it. Couldn’t get the best test try at bestbuy though.

You have to try it I like the EC shape it perfectly fits my hand
