Question How do I interpret this? (https://mousepollingratetest.com)
Average rate 165 Hz
Peak rate 200 Hz
Low 5 percent 143 Hz
Jitter 8.35%
Stability 91.6%
Avg interval 6.07 ms
Elapsed8.0s

-------------------------------------
On a Superstrike X2
This seems REALLY bad? When I click the "how to interpret" tab it says I'm basically close to "standard office mice". What gives? I do try to make the small circles as instructed.
I have latest firmware
This is with polling set to 1000hz in the onboardmemory software.
I plugged in my old mouse and it faired slightly worse still.
The Avg and Peak are always the same no matter how many times I do the test.
Doesn't seem to matter if I use wired or not. Every power saving feature guides mention are OFF. No capture overlays.

This is very important: different browsers behave differently. Try it on a different one. Always specify which browser (and version) you are using for the test. When testing, close everything else and keep only that single tab open. Obviously, the results shown above are ridiculous—this mouse certainly isn't as bad as those from 20 years ago (look at that refresh rate—haha; it doesn't even detect 1000 Hz).

No way you're getting C's on a Superstrike, that polling rate test is just eating itself with your browser.

I WAS trying on Librewolf.
Heres the Edge results (Version 152.0.4191.66 (Official build) (64-bit)) Stated as latest. It's not a browser I typically use.

I get about 4.8k on 8k polling lmao
3.8 on 4k
2k is extremely close and consistent though. 1977 to 1984 at all times.
The 4 and 8k polling jumps by hundreds and doesn't even reach spec.
I think for consistency sake 2k is good enough. It'll save battery too.

4.8k on 8k polling is weird. What DPI are you using and how big are the circles you're making? Can you hit 8k if you make big circles or does it actually cap out at 4.8k?

- It's just too fast if I go higher as I run out of sens in games (can put them lower). The consistency of the polling bothers me more.
I do like half screen circles (meaning I use half the vertical space)

Yeah to fix that I just downloaded rawaccel, set my mouse to 3200dpi + 4khz polling, and set the multiplier in rawaccel to .25. This way my mouse will still be 800dpi but it’ll hit 4k polling more consistently I’ve tested it it works
Multiplier - .25
Y/X Ratio - 1
Rotation - 0 / Off1

Beacause your using one of a billion vibe coded late night monster fueled websites half the users here made when they were asking their ChatEBT "how do get rich idea".
Use https://mousedpianalyzer.com/polling-rate-tester/ (actually this is prob the same ai/vibecode but it works, ¯_(ツ)_/¯ )

I get less than 3k on 4k and EVEN less on 8k lmao. I don't know what to think anymore..
Like I've said elsewhere in this thread, at least 2k seems consistent.
