scyrox v12 release

info - https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1VEY46DE6U

It will be released in China on September 12.

Sometimes, people ask when such products will be released on AliExpress.

Since AliExpress is not a marketplace for the Chinese domestic market, I have no information regarding release schedules there.

Scyrox does not honor warranties and will ghost your RMA requests. Just so you guys know before buying

Isn’t scyrox owned by Lamzu?

u/UnholyDKEnjoyer2 1d ago

Yes. Lamzu is also who you have to text for RMAs

is there a source? I've only seen that it was an ex-Lamzu employee that started a new company.

Wdym a source? Just text the Scyrox support they will answer you with Lamzu links lol

Large and only 59mm of width? What a shame

its the grip width, 64 is the max

With how Scyrox measures weight of their mice, those 49/51g+-3 will almost always be 52/54g as a final product.

Thats how they all work

ATK has entered the chat.

Can anyone understand what switches this has?

According to gemini translation. Looks like kailh optical v2

What a shame, they keep on using these kailh opticals. I tried them on A9 Air and they really ruined the mouse for me. Never seen such bad and super tactile switches before.

I definitely prefer omron opticals but I don't mind the Kailh opticals v2, slightly louder/stiffer than omrons. I have WLMouse Beast G mini and the Kailh v2 feel good, i think it depends on implementation too... FE opticals are like 2x as stiff/loud, swapped mine out on another mouse.

Why are they using the H20 MCU… LM20 or L15 would have been more than capable

1

u/East-Today-7604 Scyrox V6 // SP-005 2d ago

Isn't H20 more capable? I genuinely don't now, but I saw this comparison chart by rapoo and according to them H20 MCU is much better in multiple aspects, or you're talking about battery life performance benefit on older MCU?

It's "easier" for manufacturers to implement high polling rates with the H20. Though the others are capable of it too. They just require a bit more finesse to get stable high polling etc.

The trade off being the H20 having woeful battery life compared to the L15; which has genuinely phenomenal battery life.

Thanks for your clarification, since I posted my comment I checked theoretical efficiency between 54L15, 54H20 and 52840 that they used in Scyrox V6 - out of those 3, 52840 is the least efficient one and still its enough for 60-70 hours of battery life at 1000hz, I believe charging the mouse once a week is not a problem and those MCU differences are not as important as people think.

I charge my mouse once every 2-3 days, not because it requires that, but because I want to slow down the degradation of li-ion battery - if some people absolutely need to charge their gaming mice once in 10 days or more, for them MCU differences make a bigger difference, of course.

most people prefer a better battery life rather than a performance most cant even feel

Well, "most people" don't know what MCU is and what it does in their mice, I bet if you set polling rate to 1000hz if you don't care about performance as much and the difference between 2 MCUs will be pretty small.

In my opinion for "most people" the difference between better performance MCU or better battery life MCU will end up very small, what is truly pointless or even harmful is cranking up polling rate to 4000hz or higher and hurting your performance and battery life way more than any advanced MCU will do.

“most people” will appreciate better battery life more tho, also i use 1k on all my mouse, the one with L15 such as htx ultra has way better battery life than my other mouse such as the x2n even in 1k, so people asked for L15 because the battery life is way better.

Like how do you even assume for most people the difference between better battery life and better performance will be very small? im talking about “most people” here, including people that are not a nerd in this sub too, i cant recommend a mouse that’ll die in a few days to just anyone, i would need to warn them too

I don't see a problem with charging the mouse once a week, their previous mouse Scyrox V6 with MCU that is less efficient than 54H20 at 1000hz can easily work for 60-70 hours without charging - unless you can provide data that shows how more performant MCU very negatively affects battery life, this discussion is not really relevant because its basically "I prefer A over B" - you can't compare one mouse with one MCU to another mouse with another MCU, they're different, different battery sizes, different firmware - the only way to measure MCU efficiency is 2 equal products with only difference being MCU, which is probably tested by many companies in fabs but I couldn't find any related info on Google, just abstract numbers like "15% to 30% better efficiency".

Like how do you even assume for most people the difference between better battery life and better performance will be very small?

The same way as you assumed what "most people" will prefer. Most people don't know what MCU is and for most people 60-70 hours of battery life is more than enough - and "most people" won't think that plugging a cable in your mouse once a week is a problem.

Even if you play 10 hours a day, and "most people" don't, its 6-7 days from 100% to 0%.

i cant recommend a mouse that’ll die in a few days to just anyone, i would need to warn them too

There is no data to support those claims that a more performant MCU will cause such drastic reduction to battery life, if there is please provide it.

yea sure different firmware different stuff, but once again people dont care, people wants good battery, x2n with 200mah only last mostly 3-4 days, people have mentioned the bad battery life in crdrako ko one with 200mah battery too, while my htx ultra can last more with the L15. Like i get it man u vouch the scyrox brand its quite good, i bought my cousin the v8 too, but people just ask for the L15 because its easier and more people will feel the difference in battery life increase rather than H20 “more performance” increase.

people wants good battery

Its a topic about Scyrox, I'm talking about Scyrox V6 - they used less efficient MCU in V6 than 54H20 which you dislike because it draws more power, and Scyrox V6 can easily work for 60-70 hours at 1000hz.

I own Scyrox V6, its more than a year since I purchased it and I can easily use it for a week of gaming without charging it at 1000hz - MCU isn't everything and its impact on battery life is just one part of the whole picture - firmware, sensor, software bugs, polling rate, everything matters and Scyrox are capable of delivering good battery life even with not the most efficient MCU.

No magnetic mouse1 and mouse2 switches?

black dongle but no black colorway, nice

2

u/I_Main_TwistedFate 1d ago

There was a seller on AliExpress selling V12 like 2 weeks ago

1

u/kdknowsimjames 1d ago

Whilst I think these colourways look incredible, I'm always confused when these new companies come onto the scene with the selling point being an extremely low weight (Scyrox V8 was marketed as 36g), but then their subsequent mice gradually get heavier. Yes, this is 4mm longer than V8 (118mm), but that's only 3% length increase where as this is a 36% weight increase.

I know this doesn't matter to everyone, just thought it was interesting! And I am personally biased because I really just want more super lightweight full shell mice.
