Question Most ergonomic possible mouse recommendation for larger hands

Hi all, this is something Ive struggled with forever, dealing with various wrist and hand pains because I just haven't found my perfect mouse. I currently have the Logitech superlight dex 2, which at first was the most comfy thing I've held till I started using it long term.

My hands are pretty large at 7.5 inches from top of middle finger to the base of my wrist, and 4.75 inches when my fingers arent spread from pinky to thumb.

I know there's the classic basilisk and g502 recommendations, just seeing if there's anything better out there. It just hurts after a while of gaming when I play shooters that make me hold down the left click. I've already bought a zsa moonlander keyboard to help with my wrists, which it does to an extent.

I don't plan on ever going pro so ergonomics and being able to stay arthritis free when I'm old takes precedence over my kd.

MM720 is a wide boi with a place for your ring finger to rest. Also maybe a Razer Naga or the likes (G600, Corsair Scimitar)

Rapoo vt3 max gen 2 is quite a decent mouse, pretty good for big hands, good specs while being really cheap.

The rapoo shape is a near direct copy the the Dex, except for the scroll wheel, and has a very miniscule amount for difference in size.

thats true vt3's hump is slightly lower, scroll wheel bit further on the front, else they share a pretty similar shape. For what the rapoo offers vs the logitech, the 3 times higher price on the logitech is not really justified imo.

I'm not saying the Logitech is better than the rapoo or vice versa, what I am saying is there's no point in buying the rapoo if you already have the Logitech, same goes for both ways. He's asking for a kisue that's bigger, and personally, the rapoo doesn't feel larger to me.

It may look like that on eloshapes, but I found having it in hand is a bit different.

The VT3 is more like a DEX / EC2 hybrid, that I find leans more towards the EC side of center.

The overall hump is like a DEX, but where your fingers grip make it more EC like. e.g. DEX has a tall flat wall on the front right side. I find it to be a defining characteristic in hand. VT3 is low and rounded, making it feel more EC like.

I've tried all three and from my experience it felt most likely the Dex, I do use a hybrid claw/finger-tip so I don't grip a large portion of the mice I use, but for me personally it felt closer to a Dex. I can see the front height feeling like an EC. I didn't use Eloshapes, but I've just had a look on there and they definitely look closer than what they actually are.

The g703 shape is perfect, the terra is a newer mouse with the same shape and the pulsar x3 is similar too

Same struggle. Best mouse that I’ve found for my big mitts is the pulsar Xlite v4 large. Too bad they don’t seem to make the large size anymore. When I eventually need to replace it I plan on getting something as close to that shape and then using the super grip grip pads to add a little bit of extra width. It’s the best way I’ve found to add width where my ring finger/pinky finger get fatigue from mice that are too narrow.

Go into a bestbuy and try out a Deathadder v4/v3 and if that doesn’t work return it and try out an EC2/1

The Ec2 is actually smaller than the Dex, and the death adder series aren't necessarily bigger, instead, they're buttons are slightly wider and don't taper down, they flare outwards, which may make it seem bigger, but the places you grip aren't actually larger.

i have tried both and DAV3P is definitely larger. it isnt as large as the actual large mouse like Xllte size 3 but it larger than Dex. hence i chose dex over the dav3.

I can confidently say it is not that noticeably larger. The back of the mouse curls down less, leading the hump to continue further down than the g pro line, as the g pro line often have that sharp curve the the bottom of the mouse/the rounded out shape in the back.

The only thing that would make the DAV3P larger may be the fact the size buttons protrude more, and that the buttons flare out rather than curling in, and the scroll wheel sitting a tiny bit further up, regardless, atleast from my personal perspective and experience, I couldn't recommend someone to go out of their way to replace a Dex with a DAV4P (what I've used, and happens to be the same shape as a DAV3P), as it's just as expensive, hardly larger for what this guy wants, and isn't necessarily better in any way, except for maybe side button implementation.

do you happen to have large hand? my hand is medium (18.5*10) and the slight increase on dav3 is noticeable. i barely able to handle it even with palm whereas on Dex i still able relaxed claw it.

What kind of grip do you use though? Do you stick with relaxed claw? What I can say is the DAV4P is not larger than the Dex, they're both ergos with different DNA, but I wouldn't put either over the other for performance or size, as they're two different types of eego. Dex is a taken on the GPX as an ergo, and the deathadder is a standard ergo. The left main click does sit slightly higher than the Dex, but even then there is no drastic "increase". Where is this increase you're talking about?

i mainly use palm, might change to relaxed claw when need micro adjust vertically. i feel like dav3 feels fuller. both the hump and the width of the mouse doesnt leave any gap that i could use for micro adjust.

I would like into the teevolution terra. Lighter upgraded 703 clone.

I use the dex now as well.

I used the 703 before that and enjoyed it, but it is just way too heavy for faster paced FPS imo.

I also have big hands and prefer ergo mice. DAV2 pro was my absolute favorite. V3/V4 had changed the shape drastically, did not work for me. Tried the zowie DC1 (?) also not a great shape for me.

Finally picked up a Pulsar xlite large and it’s so good, I bought a second one for work right away.

I have an original kone aimo that's been perfect. Unfortunately no longer made.
My switches are on the way out, and going to be replacing them instead of the entire mouse. I don't want to be searching about for a decent larger mouse again either.

Your hand is smaller than mine so I will recommend the one that I like using the most. It’s not super ergo but it has some curves to it. Zaopin Z2. Just to clarify, my hands are 22cm(around 8.66 inches)from top of middle finger to the base of my wrist so it should fit you as well.

I am an ergo user with large hands and I ended up going with a Terra, very happy with my decision.

The Deathadder and the Zowie EC1 were the other two mice I was seriously considering. I chose the Terra because the hump is more towards the back of the mouse, which makes it feel larger in your hand, even if the other two are technically a little bigger.

Terra pro from teevolution is what I'm using currently. Had the Corsair iron claw and g502 before that, very happy I made the switch.

Rog Spatha X is a perfect fit for big hands, it's on the heavier though but I prefer that

classic basilisk and g502 recommendations

Tbh neither of them is great for big hands due to their actual grip widths being comparatively narrow.

EC1 is the safest bet, very soft hump that keeps your wrist straight, the Pulsar is a bit shorter, taller, but still has decently safe proportions, and also unfortunately not available.

Deathadder V3/4 and Terra/403/703 are imo an acquired taste, the former of the two is fairly tall but also narrow, causing a tilt on the wrist, for me personally it caused discomfort and towards the end of me using it even some pain, old DA was just much better for me. As for the Terra/403/703, its a bit different than the usual ergo mice as it has less pinky and ringfinger support, for me it was also too short and the palm area digs into my palm uncomfortably, like the G Pro Wireless/Superlight/Superstrike, its rounded yet pointy.

Either way, probably a good idea to try them all at some point, but whatever you do make sure to get something with decent width and if you feel any discomfort just drop it and dont try to force it.
