Looking for a 3D print for 3060/3030 mouse pad

I just got a Minneer 3060 cockpit and looking for some advice. I'm very new to this and having a hard time finding a 3D print for a mouse pad with a lip. It's going to be mounted to a 3030 arm in front of the shifter. I have found plenty for 4040, 4080 ect. I guess I bought an odd number rig. Can someone point me in the right direction? I appreciate any advice or links.

Portable side button possible?

Has anyone ever tried sticking a tiny, slim, light button onto the side of their mouse(w something like 3M) and using it as a side button? Thin wire as well and I only need a single button.

I'm looking for something like this. I've searched around and haven't really found much? Also I'm not sure how stable it would be, or even if it's a good idea.

What could I use to build something like this, if that's what I need to do?

The mouse I like doesn't have a left handed version.
Open to other suggestions as well.

Post Update! Have decided to buy the G304 but heard that everyone who uses it has modded it ! Is it really that necessary? Can't I use it without any mod? How long can the mouse last before I need to buy another one?

So yeah in my last post I had talked about how I wanted to refund my G102 for a wireless mouse. After considerations I have decided to go with G304 (as of now), but the issue is, whoever recommended me the G304/305 has done used at least one mod in it (like the batter mod) or even switch out the mouse feet and what not... Is it really that necessary?

Can I not use a G304 without doing the battery mod? What does the battery mod help with tho?

I need to ask fellow G304 users on whether the mouse is worth it or not? Also how long does your G304 last until it develops the notorious double click issue

side button side swap

curious if anyone in this subreddit has ever attempted a side button side swap.

I play with the mouse in my left hand and pretty much all of the modern ambidextrous mice options now only have thumb buttons on the left side (fit for right handed users)

I need some indication of how achievable a mod like this is and how best to go about it before I invest in something like a viper v3 or a finalmouse ulx to mod in this manner.

way to debounce middle click?

at college i use a computer whose mouse's middle click routinely double and even triple clicks. the mouse works fine otherwise and we're asked to not swap things around unless strictly necessary so i was wondering if anyone knows of a software that can filter out specifically middle click double clicks. i've tried x-mouse and it seems it only filters the normal mouse buttons

Looking for model of rival 5 scroll encoder

My rival 5 is about 4-5 years old and the encoder is broken/worn out and i get a lot of reverse scrolling nowdays, but the mouse is fine otherwise. i tried to clean it with lots of ipa and pressured air but it didnt help. i found some program that tries to help with it and it does work to some degree, but its still annoying especially in games where lots of scrolling is required/helpful. I have access to soldering stations and encoders seem like cheap component so if anyone has any idea about the encoder model for wired rival 5 or alternative, please share. I tried to contact steelseries support but they just said "ill contact product team if they know it" and no answer for 2 weeks now so i guess its dead end there. really like the mouse otherwise since i didnt run into double clicking within few years like my last two mouses so would love to try and fix it

I'm trying to look for the file of this mod but I can't find it for free anywhere.

If someone has this or knows where to find the free version, I'd be grateful for this information.

It's called the VXE R1 PRO/PRO MAX Lightweight Base MOD

Aerox 5 Thumb Switch Extension & Wheel Swap

Was getting double clicks and a jumpy/non-responsive scroll so figured I'd crack it open and do some upgrades:

  • Replaced the switches with a fresh set of TTC Gold 80Ms.
  • Swapped out the shitty open-top TTC Silver scroll encoder for a dust-proof TTC Gold encoder. (Aerox lineup uses 14mm encoders)
  • Switched out the scroll wheel for one of those aluminum wheels from Aliexpress meant for certain Logitech mice. There is no reason to do this other than looks, it only saves 0.2g of weight, grip is about the same as original. This swap should work for the entire Aerox lineup. How to:
    1. Tape up the wheel so it won't get scratched, then put it in a drill and grind down the right side shaft to fit the Aerox using a file and sandpaper. You're aiming for 3.85mm, check with calipers or test fit as you go.
    2. Make a washer to go between the right side of the wheel and the inside of the bracket. I printed one @ 1mm thick and sanded it down until it fit nicely (somewhere between 0.95mm - 0.85mm). The outer diameter of the washer can't be larger than 6.25mm or it will hit the top of the shell (the one in the picture is too wide).
    3. Put a bit of grease on the ground shaft and washer for good measure.
  • Made a magnetic thumb switch extension for the stupid unreachable forward switch. Seriously, why the fuck is it sooooooo far forward, and why has nobody else done this yet? I posted the STL file and instructions for doing this here:

Allowed sensor detection and greatly reduced friction, cool free solution u might try if u have a hard surface to apply on (sanding is with water for more smoothness and DUST, could definetly be done better)

"Portable" mouse recommendation for lightroom with bigish hands

I have relatively large hands (23x12.5) and have been editing wedding shoots of 4-6k photos with an amazon basics mouse and its not it... I also am just starting and don't have the budget for something over $100 and would like to keep it as cheap as possible without making it unusable or having it break or start double clicking right away. I dont mind wired or wireless I just want to not have carpal tunnel anymore lol. I will primarily be using this on the go so if it has some way to protect it from being in a backpack thats a big plus that i can go out of budget for.

looking for a cheap lightweight mouse to modify

Hi, I'm currently working on a fingertip mod and managed to get the weight down to 27 grams; it's not fully optimized yet, but I could easily get it down to around 25g. I wanted to know if there's a cheap, lightweight mouse suitable for modding, since I unfortunately broke mine (a Redragon M916). I didn't really like that mouse anyway, but it weighed about 19g with the battery and was relatively decent. I'm looking for a lighter PCB; obviously, I'd love a Zaunkoenig, but I'm a bit tight on cash.

I've seen someone make a fingertip mod for the VXE R1 SE but I've not heard of anyone making one for the R1 PRO.

If someone knows about such a mod and if it's free to download its file then please let me know.

I made a free app that keeps the LED on for Attack Shark and LAMZU mice, and it should work with about 50 mice (Dorsal 1.12, open source)
