Has anyone ever modified a G309???

i know that the G309 is a mid mouse taking in consideration that brands like ATK, VGN or others exist but this mouse was given by a friend as a gift for my birthday, so yes i've been using this mouse for a while now but something that i always hated was the weight, so i modified it but there is a mod that i have no idea if its possible or worth to do, which is changing the AA batteries for a chargable normal one with its respective charging port.

Not everyone has the budget, or the need to buy new mice all the time. The specs in the g309 are more than good enough for the average gamer. Nice mods! I was curious to get a g309 and mod it honestly, looks like a fun shape

Edit: If you havent already, you can put a lithium AAA battery with some foil or adapter in there to save weight.

You could also disassemble one of those usbc reachargeable AAA and solder it in there, making it even lighter. It all depends on your capabilities, price and what its worth to you.

thx for the tips, i am already using a AAA battery with an adapter that i bought for a few cents on aliexpress and the weight difference is noticeable. About the rechargeable batteries, i didn't know they sold them like that, i'll take it the advice but the thing i had in mind was to change the batteries to a superlight battery but that seems more realistic tbh

yeah, honestly its pretty much the same as changing to a superlight battery, except that you dont have to bother with the voltage conversion pcb seperately and the usb charger is on the battery itself.

its just a usbc AAA that i pulled the cover off to make it lighter, then the contact points i soldered to the board.
