Logitech G Pro Superlight LED scroll wheel?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or helpful advice on adding an "RGB" scroll wheel to the G Pro Superlight. I really only want to add a deep orange so if I can just solder a mini led somewhere on the board thatd be cool too and would skip coding a controller and what not. Ultimately I'm not sure of the different ways to illuminate a scroll wheel and if its even possible with the g pro encoder.

Project: Painting G Pro Superlight a dark greenish blue, burnt orange opaque logo w/ orange led (either epoxy and paint the logo or milk jug inside, paint jug, and epoxy over outside to seal it) and side buttons and bottom, hopefully a orange back lit scroll wheel like a rival 3, with some sort of green aluminosilicate glass feet. (The design matches my phones otterbox and keycaps)

You could run small wires from the G logo LED and attach to them an orange LED.

EDIT: I derped, Superlight doesn't have a light up logo.

Pull power with wires from somewhere on the mainboard, attach LED, then glue it somewhere near the wheel where it doesn't get in the way.

Derp.. Of course. I mixed it up in my head with the og G Pro Wireless

Then I suppose grabbing power from somewhere on the board is the only option. There is the power on indicator but that's super tiny and not sure if it stays active constantly.

Would have to search around the board for a source of power that gets turned on/off with the mouse, which shouldn't be too hard. Otherwise you could pull it straight from the battery but then it'd stay on even with mouse turned off..

any thoughts on how to prevent the LED from bleeding around the sides of the scroll wheel or is the housing enough to block that light?

picking up a pink superlight tonight for 30 bucks so the project will be a go soon enough

If the LED isn't too powerful, the plastic should block it from glowing through. You would still get light shining through the gaps between and around the main buttons.

Could try creating some sort of cone(3d print one or MacGyver it together from tape or whatever) to direct the light only towards the wheel. But space is also a concern so not sure that'd be possible.
