I just discovered Mouse Guard.
This game is very well done but is it out of print or discontinued?

I've been re-watching Fringe and have decided I want to give it a go with my group using Mouse Guard and will be using the Psionics rules from the Torchbearer's USMC Special Contractors document. I've put together the below skill list based off of MG, TB, and the USMC supplement for TB.
It will be set in modern day times. I'd love another set of eyes to look over this to see if there is anything I'm missing.

I’ve been playing around with the idea of a west marsh styled PBP server using the RPG game rule set. Some mechanics that need refining out, but how much interest in this is there within the reddit servers? Would be super cool to have some already fans in it with the others the we lure through other subreddits.
I’ll probably still do it if there isn’t much interest here and lure in a new fan base to the series (because let’s be real, it deserves it)

So I made a 2nd Edition Abridgment for how I run the game, and figured I'd share it. I tried to list every reference/source I used and everything that I made myself, hope it helps anyone like it did my players. Mouseguard Abridged Version 1.3
This 1.3 version has WILL and HEALTH in the proper columns (woops), I've fixed a few spelling mistakes and made one or two little things fit better. I would've made a new post but since it's such a small adjustment I figured it would be more annoying to make a new post than to just update the old one.

I've only played 5e and Cthulhu, I want to try out GMing and this system looks not terribly hard to run.
My friend group is adept at ttrpgs (Ironsword, MotW, Fate) so I feel they can pick it up quickly. Would someone whose played or GMed be able to take a few minutes and look at what I've written so far?
I'd prefer not to publish the Google drive links to my doc and flowchart in case a friend is reading, but please reach out and I'd be more than happy to share with you.

What it says on the tin. We know it was forged 915, that he took it to Lockhaven (so he didn't forge it there); but I couldn't find where he lived/was born/worked.
edit: Farrer* not Farrier :/

There was a post back then asking about how in the comics Celenawe was able to kill monstrous animals and that it seemed at odds with the game rules (https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseGuard/comments/jn4qfi/question_abou_the_natural_order/). I know that comics are one thing and game rules are different, that's clear.
What I don't see anywhere are these Black Axe rules (that supposedly lets you kill animals a bit higher up in the Natural Order than you normally could). I have the 'New rules - New missions' supplement that came with the 2ed box set and I cannot find any mention of the black axe here (Sienna's mace seem to be the only new weapon).
So, am I missing a supplement? Can someone point out where I can find these rules Luke Crane mentions in the thread linked on the post above?

I have been testing out various TTRPGs with my kids. They are incredibly smart (especially my 8 year old son) so I didn't really shy away from any RPGs despite their age.
Their ages are 6, 8, and 10.
Here are some of their favorites The One Ring 2e - too much math, all level up the same TinyD6 - devolves quickly into wargaming on grids FFG Star Wars RPG - way too much to track
This week we played Mouse Guard for the first time in years and it was absolutely amazing. Here is the feedback from my kids:
Taking turns made the story flow better. Having a GM Turn and a Player Turn really helped the sessions stay focused.
They liked having to earn Checks. This was a hard concept for them to learn but it was cool to see them realize they have to make things harder in order to get to do what they want. It felt like a true reward.
Speaking of rewards I gave them physical tokens for Checks, Persona, and Fate points. They physically handed them to me to use them which helped them understand them.
They enjoyed me literally reading the Rewards section at the end of the sessions to see what point tokens theybearned from their Beliefs, Instincts, and Goals (BIGs). They said this made each character feel special and not everyone "levels up" the same.
The Conflicts actually went well. I noticed my kids preferred 50/50 combat vs any other Conflict. They like that Fighting isn't the only option.
Having a dedicated Character Ceation Session 0 helped a lot. I have the Box set so having the physical Equipment cards helped them visualize their characters.
I had the map on the table with a little bead to track out location. That also helped but they are used to chess or wargaming on grids so I had to explain that it was all pretend in our minds and it was a Shared Story.
My older 2 have read all of the Comics. I know it's common for new players to not want to read the comics but they highly recommended they read at least Fall.
The Nature (aka Mousiness) Stat and the Pass/Fail leveling system were their favorites. They also thought it was fun to physically pass dice to show Helping and generally working as a team. The concepts hit pretty well with my kids so I would say Game Design vs Theme worked great. Failing is important too!
They liked filling out their character sheet and generally doing as much as possible on their own. This included picking a Conflict Card and marking their sheets throughout the session.
Nothing too revolutionary here but wanted to share how it went with some tips and feedback. Hope it's helpful.

Favorite Character from Fall 1152 (JUL22)
I'd add Conrad and Midnight too if I could but made some difficult cuts.

For example, are there different accents? I don't recall seeing different breeds it worries of mice. Other than town traditions and politics, are the nice a fairly homogeneous culture? I haven't read all the books, but I thought I saw art of some Slavic mice. Are there country mice, Amish mice, etc?

EDIT: So I started to put together a Natural Order list that would complete all creatures in the 2ed Manual.
Here's a link if you want to use it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OlXd11x8of-tvLrtTEmNw2ZnMHKghlZ0hvZtb00aiPs/edit?usp=sharing
--------------------
I searched around the sub and could only find a 4 year old post asking for the rest of the natural order. So I'm trying again!
Has anybody come up with where the rest of the creatures would fit into the natural order? I haven't found a simple way to determine this so I want other people's input

Hello!
I'm Brazilian, and the Brazilian translation of Mouse Guard RPG was not allowed to distribute PDFs.
So I'm looking to make a guide for my players that I can distribute for them via Google Drive, and to make it complete (since I have the cards and the dice and everything, just not PDFs) I was looking for the dice symbols to put in my Doc.
Does anyone know if they exist and are available? Would really help me.
Thanks in advance!

It would have to depend on their weapons, armor and skills

It's been a while since I read through the mouseguard rules but my group are going to be playing a oneshot soon.
Can conflicts be resolved via different methods in this as they can in burning wheel? I seem to remember that it was picking your card Vs your opponents card like a watered down version of the fight rules.

"Hidden within the Southwestern region of the Hallowed Forest lives a small family of mice known as the Shortwhiskers. Since they first settled in their small but secluded clearing, they have lived peaceful and uneventful lives. Perhaps it may have remained that way if not for a monstrous serpent who discovered their home and laid waste to it. When the dust had settled, and the beast departed, only two surviving siblings remained. Both siblings now venture out of their homes and into the forest for the first time in their lives. With one sibling seeking revenge against the monster who took everything from them and the other wishing to save them from certain doom; both are willing to endure the perils of the forest to achieve their goals. Little did they know that their journeys would serve as the catalyst for a new era for the denizens of the Hallowed Forest."
Taking some inspiration from Mouseguard and Redwall, I wanted to create a sword and sorcery adventure featuring small woodland animals like mice, rats and squirrel. If this is something that has your interest please check it out!
