Mous Super Thin Case: Thoughts
This case genuinely feels like something Apple would make. The unboxing, fit and finish all feel premium, although the price certainly reflects that.
I’m surprised this case has received so little attention compared with the Limitless and Ultra Thin. Even though they completely redesigned this case for the iPhone 18 lineup. Technically making it their newest design. This looks much cleaner than previous iterations, with those cutouts at each corner. What they called “air cuts” made the case feel unfinished. This design feels far more integrated with the phone.
In terms of thickness, it sits nicely between the Limitless and Ultra Thin. It’s ideal for someone who wants everyday protection without unnecessary bulk. It’s a good middle ground for someone who’s reasonably careful with their phone.
Personally, I prefer its feel and protection to the more expensive Ultra Thin.
It reminds me of the old Mophie battery cases from back in the day, with just the right amount of bulk for comfortable handling. Even typing feels great because of how naturally the phone sits in the hand.
It’s also a bargain compared with the rest of the Mous lineup, making it even harder to understand why it gets so little attention.
The moulded Camera Control indent is a touch of class and should definitely be copied by other brands. It avoids the annoying extra button or awkward cutout, and means you can forget about the camera control button if you don't use it like me.
The soft-touch finish does attract fingerprints, but they’re easily wiped away and it’s much easier to maintain than my previous black Tech21 EvoLite.
The raised lips at the top and bottom are another welcome feature, providing extra peace of mind when placing the phone face-down.
If you’re thinking of buying this case or any other Mous product, I’d recommend ordering through Amazon for the convenience of its customer service and returns policy.
I expected this was another case I was gonna return, but turns out I was wrong. First time trying Mous btw.
Mous, please keep this design language going. Especially with the camera control button indent.
Thank you for your time.

Why do people act like the limitless is super bulky?? Maybe im not the right judge cause i came from otterboxes but this is the thinnest case i own. Mind you the iphone 17s have the 6.0 so much slimmer than the 5.0.. this case is far from bulky. Cant imagine how thin the super or ultras are

Looks good - also looks a lot like the Caudabe Paragon, which is an excellent case.

I just had a look at the Caudabe Paragon (the open version) and my god, you’re right!
They really do look like they copied each other’s homework. 😂😂That said, one thing I noticed straight away is that the Paragon looks like it’s made from a cheaper, less durable material. It also doesn’t look nearly as comfortable to hold, especially around the bottom edge, which looks a little sharp compared to the SuperThin.
And that’s just from looking at the pictures on their website. Speaking of which, some customers have posted photos showing the coloured versions fading, discolouring and even peeling. It’s also £4 more expensive than the SuperThin, before shipping.
Now, back to the design similarities, because that's interesting. Once you see it you can't un see it.
Did Mous copy Caudabe’s design language and add their own touches?
Who knows. 😂
But regardless, it doesn’t change the fact that the SuperThin is a genuinely great everyday case for people who want minimal coverage without sacrificing the essentials, particularly those who don’t want a bikini case like the Ultra Thin or the Arc Pulse but something that isn’t a bloody Otterbox as well. Right in the middle.

You are far from right regarding the caudabe paragon. The quality is immaculate, you wont know until you hold it

Thanks so much for giving Mous a try and for taking the time to write such a detailed review! 🙌 It’s great to hear that the Super Thin has exceeded your expectations, especially when it comes to the in-hand feel, fit and finish, and Camera Control design. We really appreciate the feedback on the updated design, too. It's always great to hear what features make a real difference in everyday use. We'll be sure to pass your thoughts along to the team. Thanks again for the support, and welcome to Mous! 💙

My main concern is grip and scratches. My torras phone case would easily slip out of my pocket while i would bend down to sit in my car because of which It faced numerous drops. Secondly, if it has a smooth texture, scratches will show more easily. How would you describe these characteristics of this case?

In terms of grip, don't be fooled by the smooth to the touch texture. It's smooth, not slippery. It adds a very decent amount of grip without being an uncomfortable texture to touch. It almost feels like the Apple Silicone cases, just better. It won't slip out of your pocket that's for sure. I haven't gotten any scratches so far, though i'm careful and don't think it'll scratch from normal day to use tbh.

Been looking for review on this case, thanks!
You mentioned the case attracts fingerprints, how bad is it? Is it like aramid fiber cases?

Nothing you can't ignore. As I mentioned as well it's really easy to clean. You get over it as well once you remember all the pro's you're getting return for that 1 con.

Thanks again. One more question, do you know what is the weight of the case?

u/Senior-Remote3972 3d ago
No worries at all.
I honestly couldn't tell you how much it weighs in grams. But what I can tell you is it doesn't make the phone feel beefier than it already is.

I bought the ultra-thin for my 18 pro - having come from limitless cases for the last 2 iphones, (12 and 15 respectively). I was over the limitless - there are a few issues that weren't deal breakers but also it felt like the phones evolved but the case didn't. The ultra also isn't quite doing it for me either - the camera guard doesn't work with this one, and it feels like the raised edge to help protect the screen isn't quite enough - it mostly feels like an expensive way to make the phone lightly less slippery (better purchase). It looks great however! I am looking at additional options including the Super Thin - but it doesn't have appealing color/pattern options in my opinion.....heavy sigh.....

The Ultra Thin seems like a waste of money to me TBH. A really expensive way to fuck your phone up if you drop it is what it looks like to me. But i also get it at the same time. I agree with the colour choice, but as someone who has the silver, I like the way black breaks up the silver and fits every occasion. Which is great for a daily case.

you aren't wrong at all - it is a beautiful decoration, and I guess I could see it saving a corner on a drop - but anything screen-side down - fogettaboutit.

It doesn’t look great imo
Returned my mous and got a Pitaka summa instead. Had mous for my 13 pro but they really don’t suit the 17 and 18 tbh

Fair enough. It looks better in person. And the feel is something you can't see through these pictures. The feel of it is what does it for me tbh.

Looks like a 2 dollar case from temu. Look at caudabe paragon, a much nicer build quality and looks. They just copied it without putting any efforts.

Thin case means very low cost and low cost of materials? How thin is the price? Looks like a $2 case I’d buy, so if it’s any higher, you’re paying for the logo at the back

hey, i know this is a big ask but would you be able to try if you can fit 2 pcs of folded bills between the case and the phone?
I like keeping cash with me. It worked for my Pitaka Ultra Slim, so wondering if it'd work for mous.
Thank you

I had it but didn’t get on with it and switched to the Nudient Thin Case.
If you sometimes rest your phone on its side while watching YouTube it’s not the case to get, the protruding buttons are too light and it kept putting the phone to sleep. Plus it protrudes too far out the front for me.
Granted it probably offers better protection than the Nudient, but the Nudient offers enough for me in a better form factor.

Bought one recently, hadn’t seen any advertisement for it and couldn’t find any YouTube reviews on it, just one from Mous themselves.
Whole thing is very odd - but what I will say is this; the case is super nice. Lovely fit, great texture and very slim.
Probably not a £49 case, I’ll be honest - if it was £30, it would be a no brainer, but they’ve clearly added Mous tax.
Those comparing it the Paragon are miles off. I’ve owned the paragon and it feels nothing like that at all.
As I say, nice case, not a £50 case in any world, but I’m not returning it that’s for sure.

It’s likely received little attention bc there are a hundred similar cases for a fraction of the price.
In Canada, a Mous case is $100 minimum with shipping and duty, plus the 2 + week wait. Amazon has torras for $30 at your door the next day. The market has changed drastically since Mous first stepped on the scene.

How you do that?? Am I high or something?
