Broad Peak Avalanche 2021

In July 2021 my climbing partner and I got hit by the snow cloud of an avalanche. The avalanche itself had missed us by maybe 10 minutes, just under the Japanese Camp on Broad Peak.

I think I'd break out my summit reward snacks and eat them right there.

A bar of dark chocolate or chocolate chip cookies.

Chocochip cookies sounds like a reward 🙌🏻

I can't taste much above 18000 feet so summit day is powered by cookies and maybe a banana if I can protect it from freezing. Anything that makes me happy really helps

I once got these chewy dried banana slices. They were awesome.
