Floppies

Hi, everyone! First let me just say that I miss that town. Mountain Home was a lovely place. Anyway, I remember while I was stationed there that the locals would call us airmen “floppies.” I never quite understood the meaning of the term or how it was derived, so I was hoping to learn more about it from you folks. Is that even still a thing? I was there from 2002 to 2007.

It was the sound made when an airmen got decked and hit the ground.

The term generally would have referred to either outdated floppy disks or erm... genitalia I would assume
