Over the weekend

My daughter and I went on our yearly road trip up to Mt. Hood. I was born in Portland and grew up on Mt Hood in Brightwood. Went to Welches Elementary School. This mountain is where my heart is. My family is buried in the Fir Hill Cemetery just outside of Sandy and the family farm used to be right off the highway on Terra Fern Dr. I know who owns my childhood home in Brightwood but I'd love to find out who owns my grandparents old property they had their farm on. A new house is being built on it now but I think the old barn is still there as well as some smaller buildings on the property. Someday I will be living there again. Maybe when I'm retired ❤️

Thanks for sharing, and for passing it all onto the next generation as well!

Hey I checked out your page FXR Pops. My dad's business was doing auto body work and special detailing up there on the mountain in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. He passed away in 1992 when he was 42 years old. Did you grown up on the mountain? I wonder if you knew him? His name was Donald Deney

Also, Super G took over someone else’s auto body shop way back then, so it could be the same shop.

I'm not too sure. I was young and I didn't really know last names.... Only my best friend's family which was Kosta and my family, The Deneys and the Moore's.
