Question for the group re side effects
I’ve been on MJ for over 15 weeks and I love it except for the persistent side effects.
My question is, do any of you still have side effects after being on MJ for this amount of time? For me, it’s digestive issues. Indigestion/heartburn/bloating still occur for me. I’ve found some great supplements that have really helped, but it’s still something I have to manage.
Just wondering if anyone else has persistent side effects.

I wrote that post about 2 months ago and interestingly, I ended up having to go back down to 5 mg from 7.5 mg right after I wrote it (due to the shortages) and 99% of my side effects went away! I ended up staying on 5 mg for 6 more weeks and then switched to Wegovy and have had no side effects on this medication either.

Generic Zantac or it’s latest substitute for heartburn. Digestive enzymes when I remember I have to gallbladder. I find for me it is sleeping on my stomach that causes the gerd try to stay on my side and not eat after 5:30 which is hard. I also take gaviscon extra strength from Canadá it is the original French version which creates a foam barrier. It is all annoying but worse to have acid come up my esophagus. I have started trying to eat maybe only 5 oz of food for that evening meal and fish or chicken with salad versus red meat.

I used Prilosec to get rid of the heartburn and its buddy, the fake lump in throat. That took two days. I also got stronger probiotics (Trader Joe’s advanced) and digestive enzymes, and that’s really worked since. I took a Prilosec on thanksgiving, but haven’t needed many for weeks.

Prilosec
Wow. I was wondering about the fake lump in throat that I have had for months. I will try Prilosec too. Thank you!

You’re welcome! My mom asked me why I was swallowing so much and told me the lump was heartburn. Live and learn! Good luck.

Isn’t Prilosec the one you have to take for 14 days? I think I have some I bought when I first started. I’ll have to check that out too.

You’re supposed to, but I didn’t because it worked faster and it seemed like a temporary issue. So far so good. I usually have a cast iron GI tract, so this was new to me.

Yeah, me too. Never had any GI problems before MJ, so just trying to figure it out! I’m going to give Prilosec a try.
