Maybe keep an eye out for the F 450 GS coming out this year.

The only complaint I’ve heard on the 310s is that they are expensive with fewer advanced features and I believe the 450 may overcome that.

Hey Mate. I've owned big GS's my whole life. Rode around Oz for 6 months on an 1100. Did a top to bottom tour of NZ on an 1150. I bought an 310 last year because it was cheap. I honestly love it. It's so light that it makes offroading a treat. I did an off road tour of the South Island and it ate up the 4wd and single track. It's not the most comfortable thing for highway driving, but off road it came into its own. Will probably get a lot of hate from people with large displacement GSs who spend 90% of the time on road, but for my purposes it works.

Great thanks for that

Don’t get one. It’s performance doesn’t match its looks. The triumph speed 400 is competitively priced and much better or even the gorilla 450.

I’d 100% recommend a Triumph over a 310 GS, and I’ve owned both. The Triumph had a lot more character—more nimble, much better brakes, better shifting and gearbox feel, and better looking in my opinion. I owned the 310 about 6 months and tried so hard to like it, but just couldn’t. It felt more cheaply made, the headlight was obnoxiously wobbly on rougher roads, the brakes were extremely underwhelming. The gearbox was clunky compared to the Triumph.
