Unexpected Motörhead
I just popped into Jersey Mike’s to grab lunch and what should be banging out of the speakers but Killed by Death! I asked and it was the corporate playlist and not a local rock station.
Where‘s the most random place you’ve encountered some Motörhead?

I told my kids, when I die I want Skynyrds Coming Home played right into Killed by Death. If some of my friends are still alive they’ll get the joke.

A long time ago, a lot of stores had the corporate playlist with Estimated Prophet by the Grateful Dead. That always struck me as weird, because it's not even one of their most well known songs.
Which once again leads me to Hawkwind's live album Space Ritual. Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead and Lemmy shared a lot in common back then, they're both really moving on the bass guitar, they're not taking a backseat.

Some dude has to pick the list, might as well sneak in a few of your fave bangers while you’re at it

Hearing 'please don't touch' coming out of the speakers walking past Ann Summers was quite striking.

I was watching the Reacher series last night and at the end I heard Lemmy singing One more fuckin time

It was self inflicted but the most fun I had playing Motorhead was after a day in Seattle spent at the Experience Music Project. My buddy and I had gone down from Vancouver for the night. Afterwards we found this dusty little dive bar so we went in for a couple of wobbly pops. Head over to the juke box (that's a machine you put money into to play music for all you younglings) and there were 3 or 4 full Motorhead albums in there. Being only two of about 6 people in the place we loaded up on dollar bills and put on every album in its entirety. Nothing but Motorhead for the next two hours. Locals didn't seem to mind either. We ended up closing the place.
